The ownerswho live on site purchased the house in 1990 and openedgainesvilles first bed and breakfast inn in 1991. Thecontinue to live on site with their collie dog and lovebird. The inn is located in the residential district ofdowntown gainesville and is a 6 minute walk to many finerestaurants and shops. The magnolia plantation is situatedon 1. 5 acres of gardens with a pond water falls and agazebo. What makes this inn unique are the 6 historiccottages that have been purchased and restored into guestcottages. The cottages have everything one could want orimagine. Some have jacuzzis and fireplaces kitchens andporches. Some of the cottages accept children and someaccept pets. The carriage house has a wrap around verandawith a fireplace in the bedroom area and a fireplace in thebathroom where your jacuzzi fills up by way of a stackedstone waterfall.
