Orlando may be known around the world for its theme parks, but it’s also home to some of the best shopping in the Sunshine State. Of course the over-the-top malls are filled with gorgeous boutiques, but you can pack your suitcase full of one-of-a-kind pieces sourced from local spots — so you’ll rock a look all of your own when you’re laying on a beach or sitting down to a decadent dinner on your honeymoon.

Tuni
The Winter Park-based boutique is known for curating a super stylish collection of designer staples, bringing colorful pieces by Trina Turk, Nicole Miller, and DVF that can double as both day and nightwear. The shop also carries a selection of sexy strappy sandals and wedges that will make the perfect addition to your beach ensemble — which topped off by a sleek wrap belt and beaded necklace will have everyone swooning back home after they see your Instagram pics.

Forema
The bohemian chic boutique has three Florida outposts, including two in Orlando at the Waterford Lakes Town Center and Winter Park. The shops are lined with the cutest rompers, sundresses and accessories, with tons of hippie-style stackable bracelets and necklaces that would look just as chic on a beach in the Caribbean or Bali. TBT: Hillary and Bill Clinton's Love Story and Wedding, in Photos

Hillary Clinton Wedding Pictures

With the Democratic National Convention on the horizon (taking place in Philadelphia on Monday, July 25 through Thursday, July 28), we figured it was time to take a moment to look back on presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s awesomely low-key wedding (and because hey, Republican nominee Donald Trump’s weddings got their spot in the limelight, too). From how she and Bill Clinton first met, to all the details of their intimate wedding ceremony, read on for a look into the presidential candidate’s big day.

How They Met
Fun fact: while Bill Clinton is definitely more well-known for his forward ways, it was actually Hillary (Rodham) Clinton who made the first move. While both were in law school at Yale in 1971, Hillary Rodham was getting a stare-down from her future husband at the library, and so she decided to break the ice — a move that would forever change her life. “I was studying in the library, and Bill was standing out in the hall talking to another student — and I noticed he kept looking over at me. He had been doing a lot of that. So I stood up from the desk, walked over to him and said, ‘If you’re going to keep looking at me, and I’m going to keep looking back, we might as well be introduced. I’m Hillary Rodham.’ That was it,” she shared with the Clinton House Museum. A few days later, they went on their first date.

The Proposal
In 1974, Hillary moved to Arkansas to be with her future husband, and the two taught law at the University of Arkansas. While on a trip back to the Northeast (due to her restlessness of being in Arkansas), Bill was so distraught that Hillary was away that he purchased a small cottage for them to live in when she returned, saying “I bought it. You have to marry me now because I can’t live there alone. So you’re going to marry me.”

The Planning
According to the Clinton House Museum, Bill was the one who wanted an extravagant wedding bash, whereas Hillary didn’t even want an engagement ring (well, she did get a house out of the deal, so not a bad trade)! The compromise? An engagement party where Hillary met all of Bill’s friends — and then a small, intimate wedding and a big reception party to follow.

The Wedding
The future political powerhouses married on October 11, 1975 at a simple, at-home ceremony in Fayetteville, Arkansas in the infamous brick cottage that Bill had purchased. As far as a wedding dress, it is noted by the historical society that Hillary didn’t even have a gown ready to go the night before, so her (horrified!) mother ran her over to Dillard’s in the Fayetteville Mall — Hillary purchased a $53 Jessica McClintock Victorian lace gown, one of the first that she saw. The ceremony was performed in the Clintons’ living room by Vic Nixon, a local minister. The next day, the Clinton family hosted a large wedding reception at Ann and Morris Henry’s house, who were their political friends — where Hillary announced to the crowd (and much to Bill’s mother’s chagrin) that she was keeping her maiden name, Rodham.

The Honeymoon
The Rodham-Clinton duo honeymooned with Hillary’s entire family in Acapulco, Mexico — in the same hotel. How’s that for a family-style buddymoon?

On their 40th wedding anniversary last year, the Clintons couldn’t help but share their love and adoration for each other, with these adorable tweets:

5 Must-Follow Tips for Changing Your Wedding Date

Sometimes a change of wedding plans is unavoidable. Happy news like an unexpected pregnancy or a fabulous, career-changing job offer may make it literally impossible for the engaged couple to keep their planned wedding date. Bad things, like a death in the family or losing a job, can also necessitate a major change of plans.

Most recently, I’ve had to move some destination weddings because of the threat of the Zika virus in parts of the Caribbean. And truthfully, I feel terrible for the couples and their guests because switching things up after your out-of-town guests have already paid for travel can be a traumatic experience.

The truth is that most of your guests will understand your dilemma, and go with the flow, if you approach the change of date or location in an organized manner. Here are my five tips for making the change as easy as possible:

1. Have a new date and location in the works when you announce the change. And follow up with the finalized new plan as soon as possible. Some of your guests will be able to change their plane tickets for a small fee, and not lose everything they spent for the wedding that isn’t happening, if you give them enough notice and information.

2. Talk to your wedding venue and find out if your guests will be able to recoup their deposits. This will vary depending on the lead time of the cancellation. If you’re simply postponing at the same venue, most vendors will work with you to minimize the loss to your guests. Provide your guests with detailed information based on what you’ve worked out with the venue so they’re prepared when they cancel or reschedule their own reservations.

3. Expect that some guests who had RSVP’d “yes” to your original wedding may not be able to join you at the newly planned one. Whether it’s because they can’t afford the airfare a second time, or they can’t get time off of work on the new date, you will lose a few people who really wanted to be there. Be gracious about it and try to make plans with those people, independent of the wedding, as soon as you’re back from your honeymoon.

4. Don’t expect that all the members of your wedding party will be able to participate on the new date. Make sure you ASK your bridesmaids and groomsmen if they will do you the honor, again, rather than just expecting them to rearrange their lives. Surely, those who can be there won’t let you down. But you must be careful not to put unreasonable expectations on them.

5. Be careful about inviting new guests to the second wedding planned, even if you’ve lost a bunch of people. Despite wanting to have a bigger wedding and needing to fill gaps in the guest list caused by the change, you risk making the “B List” invitees feel like second class citizens. They’ll wonder why they weren’t good enough friends to get an invite the first time.

Let’s face it, all of us dream of a non-stop shopping spree in Paris. Sure, the City of Light is known for romance (an ideal honeymoon destination!), food, and wine, but one of its biggest draws will always be the fashions. But it’s not all couture shops and name brands, some of the best in Paris shopping happens when you have an inside scoop on what stores to hit.

BRIDES fashion editor Elle Strauss recently took to the streets of Paris to prep for a photo shoot (stay tuned!) and she gave us a little insider knowledge on her favorite Parisian shops. From magazined editors’ favorite drug store beauty staples, to classic department stores, and vintage gems, Elle is here to take you on a fashion editor’s shopping tour of Paris (perfect to help with your Parisian honeymoon planning).

1. Monoprix:
Monoprix is literally my first stop when I land in Paris. The department store is basically a fancy mini Target, fancy to us because it’s FRENCH and that makes it super fancy in my book. I stock up on French drugstore must haves: Bioderme Crealine (amazing makeup remover), Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè, Homeoplasmine (France’s multi-use balm better answer to Vaseline) and anything by Nuxe (I just love the famous oil’s smell). I also always check out the clothing line for bargains. On my last visit I picked up a fab pair of chambray overalls and a divine basket bag. (monoprix.fr, various locations)

Limitless Star Tom Degnan Marries Feed the Beast Actress Erin Cummings: See the Wedding Photos

It’s celebrity wedding season, that’s for sure! Actress Erin Cummings recently married the love of her life, Tom Degnan from the show Limitless, in an absolutely gorgeous Indiana wedding on July 2, People confirmed. The couple said their “I do’s” at the stunning Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of Notre Dame, where they actually became the FIRST celeb couple to tie the knot at the famously historic church.

The bride, best known for her role in Feed the Beast, wore a beautiful off-the-shoulder gown which was custom created by designer (and bridesmaid at the wedding!) Rochelle Rodriguez. No celeb wedding would be complete without a second dress, so of course Cummings changed into a second gown crafted by Rodriguez for the reception. Her beau sported a clean cut black tuxedo to keep things classic.

As for the wedding party, there were a whopping nine bridesmaids and groomsmen to witness the couple’s vows, one actually being Cummings’ former Astronaut Wives Club costar JoAnna Garcia Swisher. Also starring in the bridal party was Cummings’ manager and “bridesman” Todd Diener, along with the bride’s mom Cheryl who filled the role as matron of honor. The groomsmen’s side featured People v O.J. Simpson actor Billy Magnussen and UnREAL star Josh Kelly. Quite a starstruck guest list!

The bride, thankfully for us, shared an adorable Instagram of the wedding day, with an even cuter summary of their memorable day below. She wrote, “Words cannot describe the joy, light, laughter and love that @tomdegnan and I experienced this weekend. From Thursday night’s fireside chats to Sunday night’s fireworks show and all of the incredible moments in between, this weekend has been the greatest time of our lives. I will always cherish the moment I entered the church and saw the smiling faces of everyone we know and love, before looking down the aisle and seeing the man I always dreamed about before I even knew him. This was all worth the wait and now I understand when people said to never, ever settle. For the 150+ people who were still holding strong at the end of the night and were able to be part of that unbelievable Piano Man finale, I cannot even think of that moment without getting choked up. It was truly an unexpected and emotional moment that will fill my heart and spirit for years to come.”

Ugh, where was OUR invite?

After tying the knot, the pair hopped on a plane to their honeymoon in Rome, Italy before traveling back to New York City to watch the play every human desperately wants to see RN — you guessed it, Hamilton. Not a bad way to start off a life of adventures together! See the sweet photos from their wedding day and honeymoon below.

The Desert Backdrop at This Couple's Arizona Celebration Will Leave You Breathless

Glamorous Arizona Wedding Ideas, Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

In April of 2013, seven years after they met, Robbie Knight invited his college sweetheart Jessica Wakasugi to his family home in Silverthorne, Colorado, for a weekend getaway. When Robbie suggested they go on an evening hike with their three dogs, Jessica agreed. And, as snow began to fall, he seized on the romantic atmosphere and knelt and popped the question.

The couple swapped snow for the desert when they chose Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, Arizona, as their venue for their September 20, 2014, nuptials. “First, Robbie loves the desert scenery. Second, I really wanted a unique venue where not many people get married,” Jessica says. “We were both so excited to share this special place with our family and friends.” With help from planner Amina from Some Like It Classic, this bride and groom planned a timeless, floral-inspired wedding. See the stunning photos, as captured by Brandon Werth, below.

For her wedding day look, Jessica chose a Vera Wang ball gown that she paired with a statement necklace and Kate Spade shoes. “I never thought I’d be ‘that girl’, but the second I put my dress on, the tears started flowing!” Jessica says.

For her bridesmaids’ dresses, Jessica focused on finding looks that were versatile and comfortable. She chose a floor-length Jenny Yoo dress in mist gray hue, which allows her attendants to customize their own neckline. Jessica carried a large bouquet of white dahlias, ranunculus, and roses accented with touches of greenery. Her ‘maids carried a smaller version of the bride’s arrangement.

Robbie and his groomsmen went classic with charcoal grey Vera Wang tuxedos from Men’s Wearhouse.

The bride wanted her best friend’s daughter, Nora, to have a flower girl dress similar to her own gown, and found just what she was looking for in a tulle-covered dress on Etsy. The couple’s ring bearer, Oliver, matched the groom in a deep grey tuxedo.

The ceremony was held on an outdoor patio, where gold Chiavari chairs faced a flower-covered arch. A mirrored sign welcomed guests to the space and aisle-facing chairs were decked out with garlands of roses, dahlias, and andromeda.

The arch itself was decorated with a swag of white and pink flowers and hanging crystals, adding a touch of drama to the desert backdrop.

Jessica and her father walked down the aisle while a quartet played traditional musical selections. Guests watched the bride and groom exchange personalized vows, complete with a few jokes, before being they were officially pronounced husband and wife.

The reception began in the venue’s intimate dining room just as the sun had set, with tea lights illuminating the space. Everyone found their seats with the help of glitter-covered place cards.

Tables were topped with ivory linens and centerpieces filled with white, pink, and lavender flowers in an array of different sizes and heights. To further dress up the space, each chair back was decorated with cascading white fabric.

The wedding party sat at the head table that was arranged on a lofted level of the dining room. The long wood table was situated in front of a dramatic moss wall covered in cascading flowers. While the table settings were consistent throughout the room, the head table stood out with a long floral runner and diamond napkin rings that were created by the mother of the bride.

For dinner, guests enjoyed a duo entree of grilled beef tenderloin and scallops with fennel
risotto and baby carrots. This pizza-loving couple offered late night slices with their favorite toppings, too. “Our guests definitely didn’t leave hungry!” Jessica says.

The couple’s tiered wedding cake wasn’t simple in design or flavor. Beneath layers of frosting and plenty of fresh flowers, three decadent flavor combinations awaited guests: chocolate cake with raspberry filling, lemon cake with lemon filling, and caramel cake with Kahlua filling.

Do I Have to Buy a Wedding Gift from My Friend's Registry?

can you open gifts before the wedding

Photo: Getty Images

While setting up a wedding registry can sometimes be a pain (especially for the couple that has lived together for years and doesn’t really need any more plates or wine glasses), it’s a useful tool when it comes to helping guests figure out just what to buy as a wedding gift. If you’re close to the couple and really know their taste, can you go off-script and get them something that’s not on their registry? Here’s what our experts have to say.

Buying a gift of a couple’s wedding registry is recommended, but it definitely isn’t required. That’s especially true when you know the couple well enough to pick something off-script that they’ll totally love. However, before you click “purchase,” you might want to check in with your friend to see if there’s something in particular they’d really love — on the registry or not. After all, if they’re in serious need of some non-chipped plates or would love a new Wusthof chef’s knife, picking a gift from the registry doesn’t make it any less personal or cherished!

Want to get your friend something special, but aren’t sure where to start? If nothing on the registry catches your eye, ask your friend! For a wine-loving couple, ask if there’s a particular variety they’re really into, and seek out a unique or acclaimed bottle. If they love art, suss out what style or artist they love. Do they love to cook? A gift certificate for a cooking class in a cuisine they enjoy (or one they’ve never made before!) would be a great option. Don’t assume your gift has to be a surprise — instead, let the recipients help guide you.

If you do decide to buy a gift that the couple didn’t (or couldn’t) register for, make sure to check with your friend about shipping and delivery options. This information is usually already taken care of for wedding registry gifts, so ensure that you’re sending the present to the correct address and using the right shipping method.

Miranda Kerr is Engaged! See Her Gorgeous Engagement Ring from Evan Spiegel

Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel Engaged

Photo: Getty Images

Another Victoria Secret Angel just received her bridal wings — in the form of a drop dead gorgeous engagement ring! Miranda Kerr and Snapchat CEO and founder Evan Spiegel are officially engaged, and we’re already dreaming up the sure-to-be personalized Snapchat filters their guests will be using at their wedding! That’ll be one SnapStory, we definitely don’t want to miss.

We reported just last week that we were hearing wedding bells for Kerr and Speigel, as they’ve not only been dating for a year, but also recently purchased a $12 million mansion in Los Angeles together. And if that wasn’t enough to get you strapping on your wedding shoes, a source also told Us Weekly that Speigel had been spotted ring shopping and was looking to have an “extravagant wedding, in true Evan style.” (Duh. The man is a billionaire, after all!) And Speigel certainly didn’t disappoint! The social media mogul has put a ring on it, proposing to Kerr with a stunning sparkler that she posted to Instagram earlier today.

A totally stunning engagement ring like that and we wouldn’t be able to wait show it off, either! In one of the cutest engagement ring selfies we’ve seen in awhile, Kerr snapped a pic of the new bling on her finger as she clasps the hand of her now-fiancé. Nothing but a super sparkler would do for a supermodel. Kerr’s ring features a classic round-cut center stone with two tapered baguette diamonds sitting on either side — gorgeous! See the photo below.

But what makes this selfie stand out (besides that mega-watt bauble, of course) is the overlay of Bitmoji caricatures of the couple on top of the pic. “Marry me!” the bubble text reads, as a cartoon version of Speigel kneels in front of his bride. Too cute! And in case you were wondering, yep, Bitmoji is now property of Snapchat according to People. Gotta promote the family business, ya know? (Especially when it just bought you an epic engagement ring!)

I said yes!!! ??????????????????????????

Princess Kate May Not Be in Pippa Middleton's Wedding

the middletons

Photo: Getty Images

The Internet has been all a-buzz since Pippa Middleton and fiancé James Matthews announced their engagement, but could their wedding go out without Middleton’s famous sister, Princess Kate?

The Duchess of Cambridge may not be the matron of honor at her sister’s wedding, People reports, for fear of overshadowing the bride. Being that Princess Kate is married to a prince who is second in line to the crown, her hesitation at being a key part of her sister’s wedding makes perfect sense.

“Kate would upstage her sister,” veteran royals author Judy Wade told People. “It’s a tricky situation for Pippa. She would want her sister by her side, as who else would she trust to make things go well?

“But if your sister is a future Queen, she is going to upstage the bride and draw attention. Kate would want to be in the background as much as possible.”

When this wedding does go down, it will likely be the social event of the year with many famous and royal faces in attendance. The guest list alone could possibly outshine the bride, but having a soon-to-be queen in the bridal party would definitely minimize the spotlight on Middleton and Matthews. There is no word yet on who will make up the bridal party, or what Princess Kate will be assigned to do if she isn’t crowned matron of honor.

It seems like just yesterday the younger Middleton sister shot to international fame the second she stepped out of the limo to serve as a bridesmaid in Prince William and Princess Kate’s royal wedding on April 29, 2011. (And one could argue that her white, body-hugging Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen bridesmaid dress gained just as much stardom.)

Middleton, 32, and Matthews, 40, first started dating in 2012 and split up that same year, according to People. The couple reunited in 2015, and have been happily together ever since. Matthews, a hedge-fund manager and chief executive of Eden Rock Capital Management Group, popped the question last Sunday in the Lake District of northwest England. Middleton has been seen around town this week sporting a huge, vintage-inspired diamond engagement ring, and the couple says that they plan to be married next year. According to Vanity Fair, people are predicting that Jenny Packham, who has designed many outfits for Princess Kate, may be on call to design Middleton’s wedding dress.

We may not know any juicy details about the wedding for a while — like whether or not Princess Kate will be a part of her sister’s big day — but we’re sure that, if called upon, Prince George and Princess Charlotte would make the cutest wedding attendants ever!
