After jetting from chic city to city for fashion and bridal weeks around the globe, we couldn’t help but get seriously inspired by the far away fabulousness of our decadent destinations. And what better place to incorporate that city-chic inspiration than into your own wedding day?

There’s almost no city quite as royal as London, England — it’s the country that hosted the Royal Wedding, after all! If you fancy tea and crumpets and are still following the Duchess of Cambridge’s every fashion move, this one’s for you. No need to figure out how to rent out Buckingham Palace as your wedding venue: With this classic color palette consisting of London’s regal jewel tones, you’ve got yourself a wedding fit for royalty.

“Her royal highness requests your presence…” Invite your guests to your own royal wedding with classic cardstock invitations that tote stunning scrawling calligraphy in a royal blue hue. Dress your ladies-in-waiting in British burgundy colored gowns and complement the luxe look with a pair of statement earrings. Even Pippa Middleton would be jealous!

As for your own wedding-wear, go for some “Something Blue” wedding shoes. A classic pump, like these Badgley Mischka beauties, adorned with a serious helping of sparkly regal jewels always manage to take the crown when it comes to bridal style.

The best ride to the reception? A double-decker bus, obvs. Host your swanky “I do” soirée in an expansive, traditional venue — think high-ceilings, pillars, and marble floors — that totes a castle-esque vibe. And after feeding your guests a royal banquet, treat them to a slice of tiered wedding cake, as tall as the Tower of London, frosted with traditional white buttercream, and garnished with bushels of fruit. After a spot of tea (who needs coffee after that late night, right?), bid your guests Cheerio! and then you’re off to the royal bedchambers where you’ll dream of the honeymoon to come!

7 Major Signs You're Ready For Marriage

Being ready for marriage is about way more than simply loving someone. “It’s about accepting them for who they really are and not who you want them to be,” says Lesli Doares, marriage coach and author of Blueprint For a Lasting Marriage. “It’s about being willing to commit to addressing your own stuff and growing up.” And here, in seven experts signs, is what that really looks like.

1. Your partner doesn’t complete you.
You’ve heard this math equation before, we’re sure: In a healthy relationship, one plus one shouldn’t equal one — it should still equals two. When you’re ready to tie the knot, “you are comfortable in your own skin and aren’t looking for someone else to complete you, rescue you, or fill any emotional holes,” says Doares. “You have to be able to stand up for yourself and your needs. And if you need another person to feel whole, you won’t be able to do that and the marriage won’t be in balance. It gives too much power to your spouse, even if they don’t know they have it.”

2. Your feet are toasty warm.
When you’re about to enter a marriage, your feet shouldn’t be cold, believes Toni Coleman, psychotherapist and relationship coach. Instead, they should be toasty warm — a.k.a., confident. Being ready for marriage, she says, often comes with a healthy and appropriate sense that you’re making a huge, life-changing decision. “But when you are not ready for marriage,” Coleman says, “you will have nagging doubts, a fear that you may be making a mistake, or thoughts of calling off the wedding.”

3. You can set boundaries.
Just as your partner can’t be your everything, he or she can’t be your every plan and every priority, says Doares. “While saying yes to your partner as often as possible makes for a good marriage, there are times you will need to say no,” she says. “You need to be able to do this without guilt, anger, or fear of rejection. Taking care of yourself in any relationship, but especially a marriage, is critical for its success. If it’s not supportive of your core values and needs, it won’t work.”

4. You aren’t daydreaming about someone else.
We’re not talking about your obsession with Justin Timberlake. Rather, says Coleman, when you’re ready for marriage, you don’t think about what life would be like with someone else, whether an ex or a man or woman you haven’t yet met. “You don’t ever find yourself checking out attractive guys and thinking about what it would be like to date them,” she describes. “You simply couldn’t imagine finding anyone better for you.”

5. You aren’t afraid of conflict.
No matter how perfectly matched you may be, “no two people are going to agree about everything,” warns Doares. But despite what many people believe, she says, disagreeing is not the same as having conflict. “If you confuse the two, you are going to make your marriage much more challenging,” Doares says. “Keeping things at a level of difference of opinion or simple disagreement will make life, and the search for a mutually acceptable solution, a lot easier.”

6. It isn’t about convenience.
If you’re ready for marriage, you can’t wait to take the next step with your partner — and not because it will make life easier in any way. “It’s not about convenience, finances, or finding security,” says Coleman. “It’s about sharing your life with your best friend and trusted partner, and growing together. You think about what your life will be like together and can’t wait to get started.”

7. You don’t always have to be right.
If being right is most important to you, you might not be ready for marriage, warns Doares. “Building a life with someone who has had different experiences from you is challenging,” says Doares. “And putting different perspectives in terms of right versus wrong turns your relationship into a tug of war. If you need to always be right, it means your partner will always be wrong. While staying within your comfort zone is understandable, being willing to be uncomfortable and trying on your partner’s position will bring greater success.”

How Miley Cyrus, Kate Upton, Blac Chyna and More Engaged Stars Are Getting Their Bods Wedding-Ready

Celebrity Brides Wedding Workout Tips

Although no bride should ever, ever feel pressured to lose weight for that walk down the aisle, a whole slew of to-be-wedded ladies spend their time as brides-to-be getting healthy — whether it’s to feel confident in their sexy sheath wedding dress or to just start off married life on the right foot. After all, who doesn’t want to feel confident when all eyes are on them? Even celebrities aren’t immune to the desire to get fit for their weddings. Engaged stars are also hitting the gym and cutting out the carbs when that special sparkler is slipped on their finger. As if they didn’t have a red-carpet-ready bod, already! Stars, they’re just like us, right?

News flash: You’re not alone in wanting to look ahh-maze-ing for that walk down the aisle. In fact, you’re in some pretty gorgeous company! Hollywood’s A-listers are also sweating for the wedding. Between memorizing scripts and red carpet appearances, the to-be-wedded ladies of the celebrity set are doing their daily crunches and juicing their morning greens for their own big days — and for looking stellar on camera, of course. But there’s not much of a difference between a paparazzi’s lens and that of a wedding photographer, after all, and judging by their tough, toning workouts and fresh, healthy diets, these famous brides-to-be are going to be looking picture-perfect for both!

Curious as to how these engaged stars are getting ready for their wedding dresses? Well, save the cash on the Hollywood nutritionists and celebrity trainers, and spend it on your wedding flower budget instead, because we’ve giving you the low-down on how these celebs are slimming down — from model brides-to-be like Rosie Huntington-Whitley and Hannah Davis to engaged songstresses Mariah Carey and Miley Cyrus. And while you may think the fitness routines of these stars consist of three carrots, a leaf of lettuce, and countless hours at the gym, some of their tips and tricks are actually pretty sustainable and totally doable.

So what are you waiting for? Time to get sweating with the wedding workouts and big day diets of your favorite celebs!

Julianne Hough
The triple-threat dancer/singer/actress of Dancing with the Stars and Grease: Live! fame has been engaged to her hockey-playing love Brooks Laich since last year. And although the pair isn’t spending much time with a wedding planner (they still haven’t even chosen a wedding date, yet!), Hough is definitely spending some serious time at the gym. The blonde beauty swears by the fitness classes at CorePower Yoga, SoulCycle, and Body By Simone, according to Self. And she stresses that healthy eating begins with the first meal of the day. “I feel like if I eat badly first thing in the morning, I’m screwed the rest of the day,” Hough explained. “If I can have a juice and some eggs, I feel like I’ve started my day off right.”

Kate Upton
Kate Upton, who announced her engagement on the Met Gala red carpet in May, tones up with the help of celebrity trainer Ben Bruno. While tons of brides-to-be tend to turn into cardio bunnies, Upton is all about weight-training. “One of the key tenets of my program is progressive overload,” Bruno explained to People magazine. “We do slow increases over time, so you build gradually.” According to her trainer, his famous client can now deadlift 200 pounds! “She’s insanely strong,” raves Bruno. “Stronger than a lot of athletes I train!” No surprise there: Brides-to-be are basically wonder women, after all!

Hannah Davis
Derek Jeter and his fiancé, Sports Illustrated model Hannah Davis, are set to wed this July and it sounds like it’s shaping up to be the wedding of the season, if for the bride’s bod alone! Surprisingly, the supermodel hates the gym, but goes for 40-minute workout sessions when she’s home. “I do the elliptical and lift weights on it for about 40 minutes, trying not to fall off. If you were to see me, you would be like, ‘She’s really multitasking!’ But really I’m just trying to get it done as quickly as possible,” Davis told The Cut. When she’s traveling, Davis simply grabs a pair of sneakers and runs to explore the new city. She enjoys outdoor sports like tennis, hiking, paddle-boarding, and swimming to keep fitness fun and less like a chore. And don’t let the model’s enviable bod fool you: Davis’ diet is surprisingly sane. “I don’t want to go to a birthday party and not eat cake,” she said. “When I’m alone, I try to eat as clean as possible so I can have a blast on weekends.” Now that’s a wedding diet tip we can definitely follow!

Ciara
Ciara is busy getting ready for her upcoming wedding to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, but after losing 60 pounds of baby weight in just four months, this ought to be no sweat! (Well, actually, it probably will get a little sweaty…) The sultry singer looks to celeb-approved trainer Gunnar Peterson to keep her looking lean and in the most badass way — boxing! “Gunnar puts me through an hour-long plyometric cardio circuit that always includes boxing elements,” Ciara previously shared with Shape. “What’s amazing is that you’re getting three-in-one training: It’s hitting your muscles, it’s a cardiovascular workout, and it’s a mental exercise. You have to be super focused when you’re boxing. After I’ve done a few rounds, I feel as if I can conquer the world.” Or just those seating charts, right Ciara?

Meanwhile, Cyrus is staying calm, cool, collected, and oh-so-fit, thanks to her yoga routine and ultra-healthy diet. Cyrus is a true yogi, documenting her perfect poses on the ‘Gram. And the girl sure loves her fruits and veggies! (She even has an avocado tattoo for goodness sake!) Cyrus eats a strictly vegan diet and PETA even named her the “Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity” of 2015! Doesn’t yoga seem like the perfect stress-reliever for a busy bride-to-be?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
The classic British beauty debuted her Neil Lane engagement ring from Jason Statham on the Golden Globes red carpet back in January and we can’t wait to see the model’s fit figure all dressed up in a white wedding gown. So what’s the skinny on her fitness routine? “As soon as I wake up, I try and drink a litre of water,” Huntington-Whiteley previously told Harper’s Bazaar UK. “I always find that when I’ve not been drinking enough, I get more bloated. It sounds counter-productive but drinking more water will actually get rid of the water retention.” Besides hydrating like nobody’s business, Huntington-Whiteley also enjoys eggs with spinach and a green juice in the mornings and spends her sweat sessions doing Pilates or a Body By Simone dance cardio class. She’s also a famous fan of the world’s easiest way to work out — the Internet! “Everything’s on YouTube now,” the Victoria’s Secret Angel says. “You can go on there and type in ‘exercise for 10 minutes’ and see what comes up.” See? No excuses!

Mariah Carey
While you may not be able to swipe that 35-carat engagement ring from Mariah Carey, you can totally steal her wedding diet! According to a source close to the singer, Carey’s bridal body plan centers around a protein-based diet that starts off with a morning smoothie or protein shake, followed by five small meals consumed throughout the day. “Mariah is only eating four ounces of grilled chicken, lean beef, or one of her favorites — broiled Chilean Sea Bass or grilled shrimp with grilled asparagus,” the source explained to The Daily Mail “She is also eating some of her favorites, like baked salmon, chicken salad with light mayo or mustard, and sushi. Mariah also loves cheese, so sometimes she will have some Brie on low fat crackers as a snack.” Sushi, cheese, and mayo?! This is a wedding diet we can definitely get behind!

Blac Chyna
Blac Chyna has added quite a few titles to her resume these past few months: Bride-to-be, mom-to-be, and personal trainer! The model not only slays with her curves, but she’s also vowed to get her to-be-hubby to strap on his Yeezys and into tip-top shape for the wedding! Although, Chyna may be taking it easy in the gym due to her bun in the oven, she’s previously been training with her fiancé Rob Kardashian, helping him get back into shape after his dramatic weight gain. “They both have the same goals,” Chyna’s personal trainer Chris Jinna told Perez Hilton. “They just want to basically get in shape, kind of shed a little bit, just have a healthier life, live a healthier lifestyle. They’re really taking this stuff pretty serious.” Their routine, you ask? Hitting the gym at least five days a week, according to Jinna. And judging by this sneak peek into their workout on social media, these two are definitely sweating for the wedding!

Ask Yourself: What Do I Want My Guests To Remember Most About My Wedding?

Ask yourself this: What do I want my guests to remember most about my wedding?

What immediately comes to mind? Do you want your guests to be blown away by the venue? The power of the ceremony? The romance of your relationship? The food and wine? The warmth between your families? The formality and elegance? The music and dancing? How fabulous you look?

What do you want your guests to remember most about your wedding? It’s a simple question, but asking yourself that can clarify where to put your time, energy, effort and, yes, money. You’re not a generic bride. What’s most important to you may be the bottom of the list for another.

So get clear on what you want your guests to remember and put your emphasis and efforts there. Is writing your vows and sharing your relationship the epitome for you? Then don’t get caught in the weeds of gift bags, which are expensive and time-consuming to create and produce. Instead, put your heart, time and soul into the ceremony, and make it spectacular.

If food and wine’s your thing and you really want your guests to have an opulent and unique foodie experience at your wedding, go crazy with the tastings and pairings. Conversely, if you find wedding cake ho-hum, skip the cake tasting altogether, and go for a simple, classic cake. Instead of spending many, many hours ordering a cake you really don’t care about, use that time working on something that might mean more to you, and that you want your guests to remember.

As you head into wedding planning, keep what you want your guests to remember most about your wedding top of mind — and give that your energy and efforts — and your guests will experience what you want them to experience.

Wedding Seating Chart Etiquette 101: How Do We Decide Who to Seat Where?

No part of wedding planning brings up more politics and family drama than the seating chart. You’d think that where people have dinner (a dinner that someone else is paying for, no less) wouldn’t be such a point of contention, but with all the effort you’ve put into creating a fabulous party, making sure people have a great time all evening is probably pretty high on your list of priorities! Thankfully, our experts have a few tips that will help you decide who sits where — with a little less drama.

Whether you’re high-tech and are using a seating chart app or prefer the low-tech method of Post-It tabs and sheets of paper representing each table, the best way to start planning your seating chart is to get organized. Look at the floor plan of your reception and, based on the location of the dance floor and the head table, decide which tables will be for your VIPs (most likely your parents and immediate family if you’re seating your wedding party at the head table).

When it comes to who sits at your parents’ tables, pass the responsibility on to them. Let them know exactly how many seats are available at their tables, and allow them to select who they’d like to have dinner with. Then, seat anyone who isn’t at your parents’ tables (such as other family members or your parents’ friends) at a table nearby so they can easily mingle.

Then, look at everyone else who is attending. Group them by category (your childhood friends, his college frat brothers, etc.) and start to build tables from there. Don’t have enough people to fill a table? Think about which groups will get along, and do some creative combining — you never know who will become fast friends! When it comes to cousins in your age group, you can either seat them with relatives they know, or mix them in with your friends so they’re with people their own age. And definitely skip the singles table! Grouping your unattached friends together will create an awkward situation where you seem to be playing matchmaker, which will make the night less fun, not more so. Instead, arrange tables that are a combination of friends, couples, and singles so everyone is comfortable. If there’s a history or some drama that you’re hoping won’t cause a problem at your wedding, seat the parties involved at different tables (and ideally on different sides of the room if possible).

The location of each table is important, too. Think about where the band or DJ will be playing, and where speakers will be set up. Put your younger guests at tables closer to the music, and older guests a little further away so they’re not overwhelmed by the volume.

WATCH: You'll Love This Emotional Wedding in Georgia

A long weekend is good for more than just barbecues and hours logged at the beach, especially when you’re in the thick of wedding planning. So as you gear up for a Fourth of July filled with family time, delicious cocktails, and even better food, make sure you carve out a few hours to cross some items of your big day to-do list. If one of your tasks includes nailing down some wedding ceremony or reception ideas, then you’re in luck, as our real wedding video channel has more inspiration than you’ll ever know what to do with. Each week we go behind the scenes of one of our favorite new celebrations, and today we’re bringing you inside Katherine and Taylor’s emotional spring wedding in Georgia.

With ARO Videography there to capture every heartfelt moment of the day, this couple’s video is sure to get your creative juices flowing. Classic brides, take a look at Katherine’s gorgeous wedding dress. The ornate lace details, timeless sleeves, and fitted silhouette all came together as a gown that will look great now and for years to come — a style we can totally get behind! After all, you’ll want to love your look now and in 10 years!

This couple’s wedding ceremony was clearly the most important part of the day. While they kept their décor minimal, adding only a delicate draping as an altar, the room was packed with some serious emotion. Just take a look at the groom, who was moved to tears as soon as he saw Katherine walking down the aisle and continued to beam at his beautiful bride throughout their vows.

As for the reception, it appears there wasn’t a single guest that didn’t tear up the dance floor. Not only was the space entirely conducive to a party vibe — we love the brick walls, tall ceilings, and soft lighting — but the bride and groom encouraged everyone to celebrate their newlywed status. Another fun detail? The selfie stick! The POV dancing action makes us feel like we’re right there with the rest of the couple’s friends and family. Last but not least, these two closed out the night with a fun sparkler exit, the perfect idea to steal this holiday weekend!

The 5 Items You MUST Check Off Your Wedding To-Do List Before You Get Engaged

If you were the little girl who’s dreamed of her wedding day since she began playing dress up in her mother’s gown, then you might be biting at the bit to begin planning even before you have a ring. And while it sounds a tad crazy — and more than a little wedding obsessed — getting a jump start on planning this particular party is actually pretty smart, our experts say.

“Popular wedding months, including May, June, September, and October, book up fast,” says Jaclyn Fisher, owner of Two Little Birds Planning in Philadelphia. “So if a bride is set on getting hitched in one of those months and doesn’t want a long engagement, it’s OK to start the preliminary planning before he’s put a ring on it.”

Plus, she adds, “proper planning can relieve stress and save money, so checking off a few wedding to-dos pre-proposal can be beneficial for couples.” And here, according to our experts, are the items you can check off that list before you get engaged.

1. Gather your favorite couple photos.
After he’s popped the question, you may need a striking photo of you two, stat, for an engagement announcement or, if you don’t plan to have a formal engagement session, your wedding website and save the date cards. “Often times couples get engaged and then realize they don’t have any good photos of themselves, or none that are quickly accessible,” says Sarah Glick, wedding planner at Brilliant Event Planning in New York City. “Try to start gathering your favorites together early. It will make website construction and save the dates that much easier.”

2. Make your guest list.
First comes love, then comes the guest list. Says Fisher, “Drafting a preliminary guest list is one of the first things a couple should do when they begin planning their wedding — pre- or post-proposal. So start thinking about whether you’ll be inviting all 15 of your coworkers with dates, or just your work BFF. Guest counts can add up quickly, and the number of guests will ultimately determine the budget and venue.”

3. Collect those guests’ addresses.
Now that you have an idea who you’d like to attend your wedding one day, it’s time to do the tedious work of gathering their addresses. “The biggest barrier to getting your save the dates and invitations in the mail are your addresses,” says Glick. “Start updating your address book now and that will make the process go more smoothly for you later on.”

4. Establish your budget.
You’re having open-and-honest money talks anyway, right? So add talking over what you’d like to spend on a future wedding to the list of money topics you’ll tackle.
Start with: Will you be paying for it on your own? What’s the maximum amount you feel comfortable spending? Will others be contributing? “Having this conversation early will ensure that your planning will be off to a smooth start,” says Fisher.

5. Determine your wedding style.
You’ve kept a secret wedding Pinterest board for years. Now, it’s time to scan it to see what you really love and what could resonate at your very own fete. Or, says Fisher, “close your eyes and think about what your dream wedding looks like. Think about the season, time of day, type of venue, and overall feel. Then try to come up with words to describe your dream day. Exploring this exercise with your soon to be fiancé is a great way to get on the same page about your picture perfect wedding.”

There’s at least one caveat, of course, to pre-planning your wedding before you’ve become officially engaged: “While there are always exceptions, couples should typically avoid signing contracts and making any final decisions until they are actually engaged,” advises Fisher. “They should use the pre-proposal planning time to brainstorm and research.”

If you picked mostly A’s: You’re a true social butterfly and probably have a closet full of bridesmaid dresses to show for it. Now you’re the one in white with your BFF’s by your side. Jane Nichols (Katherine Heigl) from 27 Dresses has a girl gang just as big and is just as loyal to her gal pals. She’ll be the hostess with the mostest, planning an epic bridal shower and bachelorette bash, and will be there with a smile on her face no matter what color bridesmaid dress you have her don. It’s your big day, after all, and this true BFF honestly just wants to see you happy.

If you picked mostly B’s: You love a good giggle with your gal pals — laughter is the best antidote for pre-wedding stress, after all. And for that, Bridesmaids‘ Megan Price (Melissa McCarthy) is your wing woman. She’s always good for a laugh, which will help you keep your sanity through all the craziness. But she’s also tough as nails when you need her to be and that will probably come in handy when your future mother-in-law won’t stop giving you grief.

If you picked mostly C’s: Whether you’ve been twirling around in make believe wedding dresses since you were five or your bookshelf is filled with poetry, there’s no denying that you’re a hopeless romantic. For your MOH, Charlotte York of Sex and the City fame is as perfect a fit as Cinderella’s glass slipper. She’ll ensure all your fairy tale wedding wishes come true and be choking back the tears as your say your “I do’s.”

Jennifer Aniston Gif

If you picked mostly D’s: There’s no friend like your first friend and you want the one who’s always been at your side standing there on the big day. Longtime buds like Friends‘ Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) are all you need making up your bridal crew. When Monica tied the knot with Chandler, she knew that her original BFF would make the day all the more special. Home is where the heart is, after all.

If you picked mostly E’s: Helen Harris (Rose Byrne) is your go-to girl. Yes, another Bridesmaids character, we know. But don’t you want just all of those cool (and crazy…) ladies in your bridal party? Helen’s Type-A personality and obsession with perfection could help you handle all of those “I do” details. She’d be your right hand woman in planning a flawless big day, could effortlessly deal with everything from vendor chaos and any ahem bridezilla moments, and she’d look amazing while doing it.
