You’ve put all the effort into a pre-wedding diet and spent time researching all the super foods that will keep you healthy and feeling great on your wedding day, but one more thing you should take into consideration are the foods that may make you bloated. You may find yourself feeling uncomfortable and even feeling like you have to squeeze into a wedding dress that previously fit you flawlessly. Here, a list of 4 foods to bid goodbye to until after you say “I do.”

1. Onions
While you may already be planning on avoiding onions altogether (no one wants onion breath on their wedding day!), you may want to consider the trouble they can cause internally. Onions up the water absorption in your liver and can be a pain to digest.

2. Watermelon
Bear with us here. We know watermelon is often listed as a fruit to munch on because it is filled with so much water and will help you stay hydrated throughout the day. However, the delicious fruit is also filled with high levels of fructose, which may be hard for some people to digest. If you can’t digest watermelon well, you may find yourself with gas and bloating.

3. Yogurt
If you want to eat yogurt on your wedding day, stick to eating plain Greek yogurt only. Other types of yogurt may be trouble, since some types (like low-fat and non-fat) may contain varying levels of sugar molecular lactose, which can cause your belly to feel unbalanced and bloated.

4. Artificial Sweeteners
Put the soda, gum and gummy bears down. Foods that contain artificial sweeteners often contain small amounts of sugars that are absorbed very slowly in the small intestine and can leave you with an upset stomach and a lot of bloating.
