Why Bethenny Frankel is Banned from Luann de Lesseps' Wedding

This is one RSVP card Luann de Lesseps won’t have to chase down — because the invitation was never sent! De Lesseps has officially taken her Real Housewives of New York City co-star, Bethenny Frankel, off of the guest list for her upcoming wedding. But before we get into the nitty-gritty details of de Lesseps’ wedding day drama, we just gotta ask… Think we could snag Frankel’s seat the reception?

Back in February, the Real Housewives of New York City star became engaged to businessman Thomas D’Agostino. Since then, the former Countess has been planning her big bash, choosing New Year’s Eve as her and her hubby’s wedding date and selecting not one, not two, but three wedding dresses for her nuptials. But a major wrench was thrown into the wedding plans when her fellow Real Housewife, Bethenny Frankel, brought her fiancé’s infidelity into the spotlight, which fans of the show know will play out in tonight’s episode of the hit Bravo show.

“It’s hard to invite people that tried to do you harm,” de Lesseps told People magazine of her decision not to invite Frankel. And after a RHONY season filled with fights, an explosive reunion (airing on August 31st), and the unfortunate fact that Frankel was the one who presented de Lesseps with photographic evidence of D’Agostino, we have to admit that having her sit front and center during the “I do’s” might be a little, uh, awkward…

“It was disgusting,” de Lesseps said of her former friend’s actions. “Her handling of the situation — and I go over this at the reunion — was terrible,” referring to how Frankel spilled the sticky situation to RHONY‘s Ramona Singer and Carole Radziwill, before going to de Lesseps. “She was like the cat who got the canary,” continued the one-time Countess. “Does a good friend do that to you? Someone who has your best interest in mind? No.”

And thus, de Lesseps and D’Agostino are going forward with their wedding plans — but with one less guest in attendance. Again, wanna forward us that extra invite, de Lesseps?

Emily Blunt Thought She Walked in on Husband John Krasinski Watching Porn

Serious question: would you rather catch your husband watching porn or The Devil Wears Prada over and over again? We know, it’s a tricky one. But for Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, the answer is The Devil Wears Prada, but not after some serious “I think he’s watching porn” confusion.

“Say whaaaat?” you might ask. Well here’s the deal: the actor shared that when the couple was first dating, the actress, now 33, walked in on Krasinski, 36, watching something on TV, and upon realizing she was in the room, he quickly changed the channel, according to E! Online. The quick channel change is something we’re pretty sure all couples can relate to, usually meaning one thing: porn. However, Krasinski had a dirty little secret: He is obsessed with his wife’s 2006 movie, The Devil Wears Prada, and was actually watching it at the time she walked in.

john-krasinski.gif

But he wasn’t so open about what he was watching as she broached him with the question that has graced many wives’ lips: “Are you watching porn?” And The Office actor, not feeling close enough to his new girlfriend to spill the beans on his rom com obsession, didn’t deny it out of sheer embarrassment. “We had just started dating and she had come over to my house. She popped by in between some things and I was watching it,” The Office star said. “She opened the door and I flipped the channel and she looked at me like, ‘Were you just watching porn?’I think it was better for me at the time for her to think I was watching porn than watching The Devil Wears Prada for the 75th time.”

emily-blunt.gif

And 75 is actually actually a pretty legitimate estimate of the number of times the actor-turned-director has watched the flick. “There was one day when it was on and I said it was so good and Emily said, ‘Have you seen this movie?'” he shared with E!. Finally, he answered truthfully. “I said, a lot of times,” and when she asked for an actual number he said “Like 75.” That’s dedication.

See More: Does Porn Have Any Place in Your Marriage?

That didn’t seem to scare Blunt off, since eight years later they are now married with two children, Hazel and Violet. For her big day in 2010 (which went down at the Villa D’este in Como, Italy), Blunt wore a cream, chiffon Marchesa gown, according to Radar Online and the newlyweds then spent a week at George Clooney’s estate (the legendary actor became friends with Krasinski after they both acted in Letterheads).

Regardless, this all just goes to show that while your husband may quickly change the channel, you shouldn’t always be quick jump to conclusions — and give him the benefit of the doubt about his TV-watching picks. He may be watching his favorite romantic comedy!

9 Essentials You Need in Your Bridal Suite

bridal suite

Photo: Getty Images

The space you use as your bridal suite on your wedding day, whether it’s a hotel room or a hidden room at the venue, will be your fortress for your big day. It’ll be a place that you and your bridesmaids can drop off their bags, use as refuge when in need of a moment of quiet, and perhaps get ready in the morning of your big day. That’s why you want to make sure the bridal suite is stocked with a few necessities so that your bridal squad doesn’t have to leave the wedding to hunt for toiletries or even a quick solution to sore feet. Wondering what you should keep in the suite? Here are the top 9 essentials you must stock in your bridal suite.

1. To-Go Snacks
The day will be long and having snacks around will truly benefit all members of the bridal party. Stock the room with snacks they can eat easily and that aren’t too messy.

2. Band-Aids
Because blisters are a given for everyone involved in the wedding. The more you have on hand, the more girls in your squad you can count on to man the dance floor all night without having to sit down.

3. Mini-Water Bottles
Since the wedding day is a long one and your bridal party will be on-the-go, have mini-bottles of water in the bridal suite that they can grab and chug between photo sessions and other tasks.

4. Phone Chargers
Chances are your bridesmaids will be taking photos and helping you document the details of your day on their phones. Having spare phone chargers around will let your bridal party take a break in a noise-free space and charge-up their phones.

5. Fashion Tape
Last minute dress emergencies are bound to happen, and one of the fastest ways of solving these fashion mishaps is with double-sided tape. Total pre-aisle lifesaver!

6. Extra Chairs
If your designated bridal suite at the venue is somewhere that doesn’t have much opportunity for seating, ask if chairs to be moved inside. This will give your bridal party a space to relax before the main event.

7. Hangers
Try to have as many hangers as possible in the bridal suite. If not, you may have clothes everywhere by the end of the night — especially if you’re planning on doing wedding dress outfit changes or having your girls change into their dresses on-site.

8. Flip Flops
When everyone’s feet need a break, have extra flip-flops available, just in case one of your girls forgot to pack a pair of flats for the dance floor.

9. A Curling Iron
Constant running around or worse — the weather — may make bridesmaids’ curls fall out. Having a curling iron for these hair emergencies will let your bridesmaids do a last-minute hair touch up if they need one.

Celebrity Wedding Planner Mindy Weiss Predicts 2017 Wedding Trends

Over the years, Mindy Weiss has become our go-to gal when it comes to finding out what’s hot — and what’s not — in the wedding world. After all, the celebrity wedding planner has become a star in her own right after arranging all of the big day details of some of our favorite famous weddings — from Ellen Degeneres and Portia Rossi’s romantic nuptials eight years ago to Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum’s outdoor Malibu marriage back in 2009. She’s a one-woman wedding powerhouse through-and-through, getting countless brides to the altar whether through the 2016 edition of her must-have nuptials bible, The Wedding Book (in stores and available online September 6th), or thanks to her behind-the-scenes planning expertise. And not to mention, she’s a total big day trendsetter. (Wouldn’t you want to copycat the mind behind countless celebrity nuptials?)

We turned to Weiss to find out the top wedding trends taking over the Pinterest-sphere and the beautiful bashes she plans. Check out Weiss’ must-have list below — and feel free to steal an idea or two!

Wedding Flower Garland Trend

Photo: Kayla Barker

Cascading Flower Garlands
Whether adorning tabletops or ceremony altars, lush garlands of cascading blooms are a wedding trend that has truly, well, bloomed! “Brides are loving cascading flowers on the table to the floor,” says Weiss, as countless couples are saying their “I do’s” under ceremony structures dripping with yards of fresh flowers. But why stop there? According to Weiss, garlands of greenery have taken the place of traditional wedding centerpieces and table runners as well for a reception vibe that’s undeniably romantic.

The DJ / Live Music Hybrid
Going crazy trying to decide between a DJ and live music for your reception? Well, so are countless other brides. That’s why couples are now asking themselves, “Why not both?” and opting to include the two in their big day. “Adding an electric violin or sax can bring the music to the next level,” Weiss explains. Having a DJ spinning contemporary tunes and live musicians accompanying them with classic instruments like violins and saxophones creates a too-cool party atmosphere — one that’ll keep your guests talking way after the final dance.

Metallic Foil Invitations
Metallics are the new sparkle, according to Weiss, as brides are leaning to the luxe look of metallic foiled inks when to comes to their wedding stationery. “Bride and grooms love the shine of metallic inks on their invitations,” she says. “Especially rose gold metallic!” Chic and sleek, these glided invitations manage to be fresh, romantic, and gorgeously glam all at the same time. Your guests won’t be able to resist checking ‘yes!’ the moment they pull that metallic invite out of their mailbox.

Why Kym Johnson Is Quitting Dancing With the Stars Now That She's Married

Kym Johnson Quitting Dancing with the Stars

It looks like Kym Johnson’s first dance was also her very last. Fresh off her wedding to Shark Tank star Robert Herjavec, the Dancing With the Stars pro has just revealed that she won’t be returning to the hit ABC show. But while we’re sad to say farewell to one of our favorite pirouetting pros, we have to admit that her reason is definitely worthy of that disco ball trophy.

kym johnson gif

Dancing With the Stars will probably always remain special to these particular newlyweds. And not because they spend at-home date nights watching the sparkly series! (What? Don’t you?) Herjavec and Johnson actually met on the hit show, as Johnson ended up being Herjavec’s pro partner on season 20 where the pair fell head-over-heels in love. And while they may have sashayed away from the ABC series without the infamous disco ball trophy, we think the dazzling diamond engagement ring Johnson made off with certainly made up for it! Thus, Johnson is done with her bid for the DWTS sparkly trophy. After all, she’s won the greatest prize of all: Love! (duh…)

kym johnson gif

At a Los Angeles press event on Monday, Johnson revealed her reason for bowing out from the show to Entertainment Tonight. “I love the show and I love to still be part of it but, you know, I still want to hang up my dance shoes and what a way to end,” she explained. “It’s like, ‘Thank you, Dancing With the Stars.'” Thank you is right! The competition even gave these newlyweds their first dance song, for crying out loud! At their July wedding, the bride, groom and their wedding party all grooved to LunchMoney Lewis’ “Bills” &mdahs; the first song Herjavec and Johnson ever danced together back during their DWTS days.

But just because Johnson is hanging up her dancing shoes, doesn’t mean her new hubby is finished with the ballroom! “I am going to go back and dance with somebody else so I can win the mirror ball this time,” said Herjavec, joking that his future wife was a major distraction during the competition. “I blame you, Kym. Yeah, if you weren’t there I would of won.” Too funny!

kym johnson gif

Besides the “Who’s Responsible for Losing DWTS” blame game, it sounds like these two are settling into their newlywed life quite nicely. “We had the best time and now we’re back to reality — and it’s still great,” Johnson recently shared with People, stating that her and her hubby are just “an old married couple now.”

“It’s funny,” the Australian-born dancer continued. “I feel like we’ve been married for ages.”

How 10 Couples Stay Madly in Love After Many Years

You’re madly in love now, with your wedding on the horizon and your whole life together in front of you. But, after years of marriage, it can be tough to remember those head-over-heels feelings you once had. With these secrets from couples who’ve been married for more than a decade though, you can stay madly in love for years (and years) to come.

“We keep our love alive by wanting to keep our love alive. We are conscious of what doesn’t align with our goal of a loving, happy and drama-free marriage, and we eliminate that as much as possible.” — Tiya, married 18 years

“Our secret to staying in love after all these years is knowing what we have in each other — knowing the value that we bring to each other’s lives and that we would be less without it. We have so many years of history that talking about old times and doing things from the past brings back fond memories.” — Jenny, married 27 years

“It’s going to sound silly, but the secret to staying madly in love over time is staying married, no matter what. That is easier said than done. The early years can be quite difficult and many couples don’t make it through. If you stick with it, you’ll find the love grows. You learn to pick and choose your issues. You learn that not putting the seat down is not a reason for divorce, even if he doesn’t learn after five years. You learn that we aren’t our mistakes, we are our intentions. And most of all, over time, you become family, as much as giving birth to a child makes you a mother or a father. It’s a lasting, tight bond. But you’ve got to be committed and see it through to get to that place.” — Varda, married 37 years

“We keep love alive in our marriage by sharing intimate time every day. We have a daily 10-minute date for what we call peaceful passion, and we mark it in both of our calendars.” — Diana, married 37 years

“Our secret to staying in love all these years is that we have been enjoying a continuous honeymoon, by which I mean we consistently go on dates and vacations, spend lots of quality time together, and most importantly, we keep things fresh by embarking upon new experiences whenever possible.” — Damon, married 18-and-a-half years

“We know we have a responsibility to take care of one another and our commitment pushes beyond our differences. Then you realize there’s no point in arguing about anything , that person is likely not going to change so why stress? The summary is, we stay committed to making the marriage work.” — Shannon, married 21 years

“I took the time to find a man who saw the world the way I do. We found there wasn’t enough time in the day to finish one conversation. We talk ourselves to sleep at night with so many different topics. We respect our individual interests and take time to hear all about what the other is excited about. We push each other to learn, and I honestly can’t imagine my day without him.” — Carrie, married 12 years

“Being purposeful about being grateful. It seems obvious, but I have to remind myself to look for the things that my wife is doing for our family and me that I could easily ‘chalk up’ to part of her ‘role’ in the relationship. By being intentional about acknowledging my gratitude to her, I find that love comes easily.” — Jordan, married 10 years

“Neither of us would ever let the other down. We put the other’s interests first, and because of that, we always feel loved and appreciated by each other. Plus, we go out of our way to make things special. Last night after work, I packed a picnic of all his favorite foods and we went to one of our favorite beaches and walked along the pier and along the ocean, and then enjoyed our picnic!” — Ann, married 35 years

“I think the secret that has helped us to keep our love alive over the years has been working toward a common goal. Those goals have changed through our marriage. Determining what was important to each of us individually became an important way for us to work together on reaching those goals. Simply put, we are a tight team, still in love 33 years after we first met as members of a wedding party for mutual friends.” — Jeff, married 28 years

BRIDES Northern California: Local San Fran Beers and Spirits to Serve at Your Reception

San Franciscans know good food, and good drinks. Of course the Bay Area is known for great wine in Napa and Sonoma, but it’s also home to dozens of wineries and distilleries creating craft beers and small-batch spirits that showcase the unique flavors of northern California. If you’re looking to incorporate a bit of the Bay Area into your reception bar, check out these local beers and spirits.

St. George Spirits
St. George Spirits has been in operation for more 30 years and has been in its current location in Alameda for more than a decade. One of the best known Bay Area brands, they produce an herbaceous Terroir Gin (one of four different gins), single malt American whiskey, rum, absinthe, chicory-infused coffee liqueur and several fruit brandies. Bonus: they offer tours and tastings five days a week so you can try before you buy.

Distillery No. 209
This Mission Bay distillery has been producing craft gin at Pier 50 for more than a decade, but the brand’s history is much longer. The name No. 209 comes from the original property in Napa that was the site of the 209th distillery founded in the US (way back in 1882). The distillery is best known for its citrusy, slightly sweeter gin made with South Asian spices like cardamom, but it also makes a line of kosher gin and vodka, and a gin aged in sauvignon blanc and cabernet sauvignon barrels.

Anchor Distilling Co. and Anchor Steam Brewing
The Anchor Steam brewery has been around since the California Gold Rush, and when Fritz Maytag (yes, that Maytag) bought the company in 1965, it became the first craft beer in the US. Today the brewery still operates in Potrero Hill, making more than a dozen beer varieties, including the classic Anchor Steam, IPA, Porter, and Winter Wheat. The distilling operation is equally prolific, with a diverse line-up of spirits that includes calvados, cognac, gin, mezcal, pisco, rum, tequila, gin, vodka and whiskey.

Spirit Works Distillery
Sebastopol’s Spirit Works Distillery employs a “grain-to-glass” process that means every aspect of production is done with local ingredients, so you can truly say you’re serving a “made in California” drink. Spirits produced include gin, sloe gin, vodka, whiskey, and barrel-aged gin and whiskey.

Hello Cello and Prohibition Spirits
The first post-Prohibition distillery to open in Sonoma County, Hello Cello, started out making Limoncello, a perfect apertif or a mixer for a light, refreshing reception cocktail. Through sister label Prohibition Spirits, they also make Figcello and OrangeCello and, for something a little stronger, brandy, rum, bourbon, and whiskey.

21st Amendment Brewery
Named for the constitutional amendment that repealed Prohibition, 21st Amendment has been making craft beer since 2000. Year-round brews include Back in Black IPA and Brew Free or Die and there’s a host of rotating seasonal beers. Serve Fireside Chat winter spiced ale for a fall or winter wedding or a crisp and refreshing Hell or High Watermelon wheat beer in summer.

From here, lift and extend arms, palms facing each other, until they’re directly over your shoulders in an “I.” Lower to the starting position, then lift back up, palms facing the floor and extend arms overhead to form a “Y.” Lower to the starting position and lift arms directly out to the sides, palms down, to form a “T.”
