4 Prints and Patterns That Are Bound to Be the Next Big Thing In Weddings

When it comes to wedding d&#233cor, what’s hot and what’s not is an ever-revolving door. Some trends turn into timeless staples and others can seem totally outdated by the time your wedding date rolls around. We have a feeling the below prints and patterns are not only about to take the wedding world by storm, but will stick around for several seasons to come.

1. Classics With a Twist
Bye-bye blush! Say hello to a more subdued color palette with white, neutral and monochromatic tones-on-neutral tones (traditional) paired with richer darker tones (the twist), says Hopkins. “The trend is heading towards a classic and timeless affair with traditional d&#233cor at the forefront, while at the same time remaining current through the use of subtle touches.” Tone-on-tone alone will also be big, tell wedding and event planners Natasha Burton and Jennifer Arreguin, co-founders of Swoon California. “This is great for people who just want to choose one wedding color, as it can look more sophisticated than two or three different hues.”

2. A New Take on Lace
Think more Downtown Abbey wedding as opposed to rustic style, recommends interior designer Anna Kohler, founder of My Chic Nest. “Stepping away from overly delicate lace, bold textural options exude sophisticated drama reminiscent of brocades seen in decades past.” Matthew David Hopkins, Creative Director of Matthew David Celebrations, agrees. “Lace is having it’s comeback in modern wedding dresses and additionally, in the wedding event itself.” Soon to be trending, according to him, is the incorporation of the lace pattern as seen on the bride’s gown into aspects of the event. An example is of the wedding cake. “The pattern on the lace is replicated into one tier, or more, that ties the bride’s pattern on the gown into the wedding.” We also love this new take on lace for table linens to add a ton of texture.

3. 80’s Inspired Prints
One trend wedding planner Leah Weinberg, owner of Color Pop Events, has been seeing pop up in party d&#233cor is a resurgence of ’80s inspired prints (picture Saved By The Bell style) that are very graphic and very colorful. “Couples who want a fun and playful look for their weddings are going to gravitate toward bold prints and patterns like these.”

4. Flower Power
Floral prints are back and in a big way. And what better place to incorporate some extra flower power than at your wedding? Expect to see fun floral printed designs (on the table linens particularly) in the future, notes Kohler. “It’s soft, unexpected and playful, while also being dramatic.” Perfect for the bride and groom that can’t get enough of color.

11 Pre-Workout Snacks R.D.s and Nutritionists Love

Nailing a workout requires a lot of energy — energy that you can easily get from a delicious pre-workout snack. When it comes to choosing the right kind of grub, you need to know which nutrients will most efficiently help you get through your sweat sesh. Look for something with complex carbohydrates, which will give you that much-needed energy, and something with a bit of protein to keep you satiated until you’re finished. Avoid eating foods with too much fiber and fat, as those lead to an upset stomach.

If you’re in need of some tasty snack inspiration, we’ve rounded up 11 different options that registered dietitians and nutritionists adore. They’ve got all those nutrients that you need, and they taste pretty stellar to boot.

1. Sweet potatoes with Greek yogurt and cinnamon

“This snack is great when you’re in the mood for something satisfying and sweet. I’ll use one small peeled and cooked sweet potato and top it with 1/2 cup Greek vanilla yogurt, and dash of cinnamon. Be sure to peel the sweet potato to lessen the fiber content.” —Lindsey Pine, M.S., R.D., owner of Tasty Balance Nutrition

2. Medjool dates
“This is my all time favorite pre-run snack. About 30 minutes to an hour before my workout, I’ll nosh on two pitted dates. This will give me sustained energy throughout my run, and they taste like candy. Talk about some extra incentive to lace up my running shoes!” —Shannon Garcia, M.D.S., R.D. with KISS in the Kitchen

3. A veggie omelet with toast
“If you like to workout in the morning, go ahead and eat your breakfast first. Eggs make a great pre-workout snack because they’re a light meal that is also high in protein. Adding any type of veggie that you like is a great way to get complex carbohydrates and any necessary vitamins and minerals. Just be careful not to add too much cheese, because that will make it a bit harder to digest. Pair this omelet with a slice or two of your favorite whole grain toast for some extra complex carbohydrates. Just be sure your toast isn’t straight white bread, which will digest very quickly and provide you with less energy for your workout.” — Emily Cope-Kyle, M.S., R.D., owner and consulting dietitian at EmilyKyleNutrition.com

4. A banana with peanut butter
“The best pre-workout snack consists of mostly carbohydrates and a little protein. And it should be low in fiber and fat. This will ensure that the food digests quickly, which will give you energy for your workout without causing any stomach cramps or nausea. One of my personal favorites is a banana with a tablespoon of peanut butter.” — Alissa Rumsey, M.S., R.D., spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

5. Overnight oats
“Oats provide carbs for energy and yogurt is a good combination of fat and protein. I’ll combine 1 cup of Greek yogurt with 1/2 cup of oats, 1 tablespoons of maple syrup, and a dash of vanilla extract and cinnamon. Then I refrigerate them overnight and top them with fruit and nuts.” — Brittany Kohn, M.S., R.D.

6. Carrots and hummus

“When it comes to choosing the best pre-workout snack, I look for a combo that provides simple, unrefined carbohydrates (for quick fuel) and a small amount of protein, fiber or fat for extra staying power to carry you through the entire workout. I also opt for simple, easy-to-digest snacks, steering clear of anything that’s too acidic, spicy or high in fat to avoid stomach upset during a workout. Carrots provide simple carbs for fast fuel and the hummus boasts fiber to tide you over until after your workout.” — Kara Lydon, R.D., L.D.N., R.Y.T., author of Nourish Your Namaste and The Foodie Dietitian Blog

7. Strawberries and flax meal
“I like 1 cup of sliced strawberries topped with 2 tablespoons of ground flax meal. This combo is super satiating (thanks to all the fiber) and easy to digest which gives me a quick energy boost. Turn this into a great post-workout snack too by adding 2 tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt — that added protein will aid muscle recovery.” — Brigitte Zeitlin, M.P.H., R.D., C.D.N., founder of the New York-based BZ Nutrition

8. Coffee
A little caffeine buzz can actually help energize your workout by improving circulation, which means that it will send more oxygen to your muscles, and add a little pep to your step. The key is to drink coffee with a light snack, like a piece of whole wheat toast with almond butter. Or you could try blending up 4 ounces of black coffee or espresso with 1 cup of almond milk, a banana, 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, and 1/4 cup of uncooked rolled oats. Avoid drinking coffee on an empty stomach before a workout to prevent possible gastrointestinal distress. And definitely forgo the sugary coffee drinks.” — Dianna Sinni, R.D., L.D., wellness dietitian and blogger at Chard in Charge

9. Grapes and cheddar cheese
“Sometimes you need to figure out what works best for you. This is not a “traditional” snack before a workout, but I love it. It provides quick energy and it digests well: 1 cup of grapes plus 1/2 ounce of grass-fed Cheddar cheese provides 160 calories, 28 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, and almost 5 grams of protein. (Hint: Cheese made from 100% grass-fed organic cows provides better-for-you fats and a boost of beta carotene.) Try it!” — Jackie Newgent, R.D., culinary nutritionist and author of The All-Natural Diabetes Cookbook

10. Popsicles and protein
“As hot as it has been lately, I love indulging in a one-ingredient popsicle (just 100 percent frozen juice) along with a LUNA protein bar. My current favorite juice to use is 100 percent pomegranate juice, because it is a good source of potassium, which is an important electrolyte for fluid balance. It’s a little sweet and tart without any added sugar or artificial ingredients.” — Sarah-Jane Bedwell, R.D., L.D.N., host of Cooking with Sarah-Jane

11. A banana milkshake
“Because this snack is blended, it’s easier to digest. I like to blend half a banana with 1 cup low-fat milk, along with a dash of cinnamon. The drink provides both the carbs and protein needed to help fuel my workout. This combo is moderate in fat and fiber, so it doesn’t sit heavy in my tummy.” — Amy Gorin, M.S., R.D., owner of Amy Gorin Nutrition

This Colorado Couple's Riverside Wedding Was Soft, Natural, and Totally Elegant

An Elegant Riverside Wedding in Colorado, Bride and Groom Portrait Outside

It was a mutual love of college football that first brought Colleen and Paul together in October of 2012. “I was living in an old Victorian house in Colorado Springs that was converted into apartments, and my neighbor was a friend of Paul’s,” Colleen remembers. Almost two years later, on a random Tuesday (says Colleen, “We know it was random because I got engaged with a raincoat tied around my waist!”), the couple took a hike just west of Denver. “It was drizzling when we started, but by the time we got to the top, the sun was peeking out. I stopped to take a picture of the rainbow, and when I turned around, Paul was on one knee asking me to marry him!” Colleen says.

Though they’re not Colorado natives, it’s where Paul and Colleen met and fell in love, so they knew it was where they wanted to get married. They headed north of Boulder to Lyons and found the gorgeous Lyons Farmette & River Bend, nestled between a river and towering cliffs. “We wanted something elegant and natural, so we kept the color scheme very neutral and planned a romantic dinner in the middle of this rugged canyon,” says the bride. With lush florals, gold accents, and beautiful Colorado sunshine, you’ll fall in love with this October 10, 2015, wedding, photographed by Kerinsa and planned by We Tie The Knots.

Colleen is tall (“I’m actually a little taller than Paul!” she says), so she chose sparkly flats over heels. She paired the glam shoes with a silver clutch that her sisters and sister-in-law also carried on their wedding days — and a stunning ring, of course!

Colleen captured the relaxed, romantic vibe perfectly with her Monique Lhuillier wedding dress. “It was the first gown I spotted, but I didn’t immediately try it on,” she says. “I loved the fitted sheath silhouette, the feminine lace, and the unique twist from the illusion neckline and layered skirt.”

Her lush bouquet, by Liz Griffith of Cori Cook Floral Design, combined dahlias, garden roses, freesia, and ranunculus in shades of ivory and blush.

“I went to Bella Bridesmaids with my sisters, sister-in-law, and friend before I’d even found a dress of my own,” says Colleen. The mix of neutral colors and styles ended up inspiring the color scheme for the rest of the wedding.

The four ring bearers walked down the aisle, hand in hand, followed by the oldest flower girl. “We had five, but she was the only one old enough to walk down the aisle by herself. She waved like a Disney princess on a parade float!” Colleen laughs.

Deciding not to get married in a church was a big decision for Paul and Colleen, so they wanted a spiritual space for their vows. They worked with their officiant to create a format for their vows, then each wrote their own following the same theme. “I was hoping I would be less emotional if our vows weren’t a surprise, so we emailed them to one another the week before the wedding,” says Colleen. Unfortunately it didn’t work — “I immediately started crying when the ceremony started!”

“We are a little bit city, a little bit outdoorsy, so we tried to combine that into our wedding,” says Colleen. “Our venue engaged both sides of our personalities, both laid-back and elegant.”

The escort and place cards were Colleen’s only DIY project. “The escort cards were easy, but the place cards were a little more involved. I saw them on Pinterest and thought ‘That can’t be too hard!’ — the death sentence of any DIY project — and ended up hand-painting gold stripes on 140 cards. That was enough for me!”

Personalization was important to this duo, so they created custom cocktail napkins and koozies adorned with their names in an a Colorado-appropriate leafy wreath.

The couple reused their ceremony flowers to flank the entrance to the reception tent, adding extra candles for a romantic glow. Inside, gold candlesticks and flatware popped against the soft pink hues used on each table, and a sprig of greenery was tucked into every napkin.

Centerpieces combined flowing greenery, ranunculus, roses, and dahlias in shades of pink that were all arranged in ornate footed bowls. Geometric lanterns kept the space feeling modern.

The menu was based on foods the couple loves to cook at home. Hors d’oeuvres were bite-sized caprese with white balsamic foam and Dungeness crab cakes inspired by Colleen’s mom’s recipe. For dinner, the pair served a choice of Colorado buffalo medallion or seared salmon with herbed pistou.

“We created a list of songs we wanted our DJ to play, but what we really wanted was to get as many people on the dance floor as possible,” says the bride. “Our wedding was about us, but also about all the people who have gotten us to where we are in life.”

Her advice is to keep things in perspective. “The end result will be the same no matter what: You’ll be married. Frustrations happen, but even if things aren’t totally perfect, it will still be the best day.”

What's the General Order of a Wedding Ceremony?

Whether you’re writing your own ceremony or using your house of worship’s standard format, getting familiar with the order of a wedding ceremony is super helpful. From writing your programs to picking readings and readers, knowing what comes next will keep you and your wedding party informed and make the process, from planning to rehearsal to the big moment, so much easier. So what format do wedding ceremonies usually follow? Our experts break it down for you.

The great news is, most ceremonies follow a similar order, so if you’ve been to (or been in) a few, you’ve probably got an idea of how things will happen. Of course, different cultures and religions will incorporate other elements or swap things around, but if you’re planning to create a ceremony of your own, this is a great place to start.

First off, the processional. This is when members of your immediate family and wedding party head down the aisle and either find a seat or take their place on either side of the altar. The processional begins with the grandparents, flows through the parents, groom, officiant, wedding party, flower girl, and ring bearer, and ends with the bride making her entrance.

Once everyone is in place, the officiant will say a few words of welcome. He or she may thank guests for bearing witness to your union, as well as welcome everyone to your venue and your celebration.

Next, the officiant will offer an introduction and some thoughts on marriage. This could be a brief recounting of your love story, words on what marriage means to you, or a statement about the ceremony to come and what it represents.

From there, if you are including readings of any sort in your ceremony, readers will be invited up to share a few words. You could have your officiant introduce each reading and reader, or have things flow more naturally between readers.

After the readings have been shared, the two of you will exchange vows. You could opt to write your own vows, share personal statements and then exchange the same vows, or use traditional phrasing. This is also the part where you’ll place rings on one another’s fingers as symbols of your marriage.

Now, the good part! After you’ve exchanged vows and rings, the two of you get to seal your marriage with a kiss.

Depending on the type of wedding you’re having, your ceremony may end with a closing statement or a blessing before your officiant introduces you as a married couple for the first time. Then, you’ll lead the recessional back up the aisle and to the party!

Happy Birthday, Blake Lively! See the Actress' Wedding Dress Photos

Blake Lively Birthday

Photo: Getty Images

Happy birthday, Blake Lively! Now 29-years-old, the blonde beauty has given us another whole year of fashion inspiration and #MarriageGoals with her hubby, Ryan Reynolds. And what’s not to love about Lively? She’s one heck of an actress and one half of Hollywood’s dream couple, always the Barbie to Reynolds’ Ken. And to not mention, girlfriend looks AH-MAZE-ING in a wedding dress…

Okay, so Lively looks amazing in basically anything. She has the best dressed baby bump in the biz, serving up the chicest mother-to-be looks when she’s expecting, and always slays with her gorgeous red carpet gowns. But we’re particularly in love with Lively’s “I do” looks. Sure, we never got to see the actress’ bridal style when she wed her real-life hubby back in 2012 (still waiting for those wedding photos, guys…), but Lively has appeared as a beautiful bride on-screen more than once. And each time she’s said “I do,” we’ve flipped for her fictional big day looks. No surprise there, right?

What better way to celebrate another year of Blake than by throwing it back to when the birthday girl rocked wedding dresses on the screen. Below, check out the gorgeous gal’s wedding day looks…

Blake Lively Gossip Girl Wedding Dress

Gossip Girl
Remember your former guilty pleasure, Gossip Girl? Of course you do. One of the most memorable moments of the juicy drama was the ending of the style-centric series, when Lively’s Serena finally tied the knot with her on-again off-again sweetheart Dan Humphrey. The actress was gorgeously glam in a gold-and-white Georges Chakra wedding dress, giving brides who love glitz and glam permanent heart eyes and tons of big day inspiration. Wedding dresses with glimmering gold details — from sequins to subtle metallic detailing — are totally trending. You can thank this Gossip Girl for that!

The Age of Adaline
Lively also got hitched in the 2015 romance, The Age of Adaline, where she plays a woman who has stopped aging at age 29 — the same age the eternally-youthful Lively is now, hmm… In 1908, Adaline weds her sweetheart wearing a decade-appropriate satin wedding dress featuring elegant long sleeves and delicate lace. She even makes a breathtaking vintage bride! Sigh…

The Red Carpet
Okay, so this technically isn’t a wedding dress. And the red carpet technically isn’t a movie. But hey, she’s being filmed there isn’t she? We’re still head-over-heels in love with the white gown Lively donned for the premiere of The Green Lantern, where her and Reynolds met, back in 2011. With floral appliqués and a pure snowy hue, this flowery Chanel frock is totally wedding worthy. Couldn’t you envision this sunny California girl wearing this airy gown for her real-life walk down the aisle? We can only imagine…

The Pros and Cons of Marrying Each Zodiac Sign

Before you say “I do”, it’s good to know exactly what you’re getting yourself into! So will the stars align for you and your hubby-to-be? For better or worse, here are the pros and cons of marrying each zodiac sign, according to two of our favorite love astrologers.

Aries (March 21-April 19)
Lucky for you, with an Aries, there will never be a dull moment, as they’re fun loving, wild and exciting to be around, notes astrologer and psychic medium Suzie Kerr Wright. On the contrary, they tend to be set in their own ways and can also be a bit selfish and bossy too, points out astrologer Joan Porte.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)
The good news? He’s loyal, hard working and will be home every night at the same time, says Wright. “He’s a solid upstanding guy that people can count on.” Oh, and don’t be surprised if he enjoys life’s little luxuries as well. The downside? “He’ll expect you to be just as devoted and reliable so free spirits need not apply.” In other words, he can be a bit boring.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This guy was born with the gift of gab, which can be both a good thing and a bad thing, according to Porte. “He’s a great conversationalist, interesting and smart. However, he’s always talking and may have a tough time listening to you in return.” He likes variety and can be a commitment-phobe.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Everyone loves a big teddy bear and this guy is quite the nurturer! He’s cuddly, loves his mother (well, in most cases…some of them hate their moms) and he understands your feelings too, tells Wright. As for cons, he has high expectations and wants you to be just like his mom. “He can also be moodier than you when you’re PMS-ing!”

Leo (July 23-August 22)
There’s never a dull moment with a Leo! He’s a master entertainer, sparkling, dynamic and the life of the party always, says Porte. He’s a blast to be around. But, as Wright points out, he can get pouty when he’s not the center of attention and can be hot headed and extremely vain. “Make sure you have a double mirror in your bathroom when you live with a Leo or you’ll never get to use it.”

Virgo (August 23-September 22)
If you’re into organization, especially when it comes to finances, then Virgo is definitely your man. He’s dedicated, put together and really has his feet on the ground, notes Porte. Nevertheless, he can become a bit OCD about the whole organizing thing and be too ruled by routine. “He’s extremely picky and may lack self-confidence.” He is health-conscious and intelligent though, adds Wright.

Libra (September 23-October 22)
He’s sociable, pleasant to be around, romantic and sweet, not just to you but to everyone he encounters, reveals Wright. On the flipside, Libras often can’t make up their mind and are notorious players! “Be ready to fight off other women even if he’s not an out and out cheater; he charms everyone.”

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
According to Wright, Scorpios are loyal, deeply passionate, straightforward and determined too. They’re also amazing in bed, but you probably knew this already! Their downfalls? “They always seem to have a hidden agenda and can keep secrets almost too well. Their words can cut like a knife.”

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
They’re always up for adventure and are world travelers by nature, notes Porte. Sagittarius also has a lot going on upstairs and are intelligent dudes. Unfortunately, sometimes you just can’t win with them, as they hate to lose arguments. “They can be know-it-alls and kind of tactless too.”

Capricorn (December 22-January 19)
He’s hard working and determined to succeed, making him a great provider at home, says Wright. “He’s a very loyal sign, strong willed and independent as well.” But he can be extremely stubborn, sometimes controlling and a bit detached emotionally so watch out for that.

Aquarius (January 20-February 18)
He’s young at heart, always up for a good time (both in the bedroom and out of it), very innovative and always seeks out the special aspects of life, according to Porte. The cons? He’s not all that dependable and can be somewhat rebellious. “He likes to shake things up just for the fun of it.”

Pisces (February 19-March 20)
Pisces are sweet, excellent listeners, romantic and passionate. They give their hearts and souls, says Wright. However, this isn’t always a great thing, as they can get taken advantage of. “They can also go extremely hot and cold in a heartbeat. You never know which ‘fish’ you’ll get from day to day.”

Luann de Lesseps of Real Housewives of New York Dishes on Why She's Getting a Prenup with Tom D'Agostino

The Countess’ wedding is still on! Luan de Lesseps is still getting married to Tom D’agostino even after a tumultuous season finale of RHONY — but with some specifications: a prenup!

Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York City star has gone through the very public ringer when it comes to her relationship with her new fiancé, who was recently outed for cheating on her at the Regency Hotel in a recent episode of Bravo’s RHONY. Her former gal pal, Bethenny Frankel, had dropped the news on her while on a trip to Miami (and we now know that she’s NOT on the guest list…oops). The wedding is still on, however, and the Countess seems to be happier than ever.

“I’m so in love,” she shared with People. “Knowing that we can get through this has made our relationship even stronger. If you can’t forgive those you love, who can you forgive?” Very cool of you, Countess. But their holy matrimony will come with some strings attached, as both partners are signing a prenup. “Oh yeah well we both have assets,” she shared. “He’s got big business assets and so do I.”

D’Agostino, and de Lesseps are getting married on New Year’s Eve of this year in Palm Beach, Florida — with about 250 friends and family in attendance. Among the guests are fellow castmates Dorinda Medley and Jules Wainstein — but it looks as if Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer have joined the “not invited” list with Skinny Girl mogul Frankel.

While the reality star was previously married (to Count Alexandre de Lesseps from 1993 to 2009), this will be her first wedding celebration in which she’ll wear a wedding dress — something which totally thrills her. “I’m most excited to celebrate, to celebrate our life together,” she shared with the magazine. “I’m most excited to have all our friends together. And I’m excited to walk down the aisle, I’ve never done it, I eloped. So I never have been married in a traditional way so I’m excited to be a bride. That’s why I’m wearing a veil.” Since she didn’t get to do it the first time, she’s now wearing not one, not two, but THREE wedding dresses — talk about doing it right the second time.

Back in February, D’agostino proposed with an 8-carat canary-yellow diamond engagement ring. “Thomas was planning on a Valentine’s Day proposal during their upcoming vacation in Vail, but couldn’t wait and presented an eight-carat canary yellow diamond ring before they got there,” a source shared with People. “LuAnn is over the moon in love with Thomas and considers him her soulmate and is so happy and grateful to have found love a second time.” The two then celebrated blissfully on a ski vacation in Colorado.

Since then, the mother of two has been twirling about in newly-engaged happiness, getting ready for her big day. For the couple’s sake, hopefully this is the last of the rumblings of turmoil between the two, and now we can just look forward to Insta-stalking their wedding!

4 Rules You Should Definitely Break Right Before Your Wedding

It seems that weddings come a lot of rules. But our experts say there are some you can break, even when you’re down to the wire. Here are four.

1. You can’t see your partner until you walk down the aisle.
Snuggling with your sweetie as you drift off to dreams about your big day can be a serious stress reliever. After all, your partner is also most likely also your BFF, says Gloria Brame, Ph.D., sexologist and author of The Truth About Sex: A Sex Primer For The 21st Century. “Who could be better to spend that last night of singledom with than someone who knows and understand you best?” she asks. Plus, she points out, “it’s a good time to blow off steam, review any last minute details, chat about wedding guests, and generally lean on each other for support and love.” What you two do to relax — whether that’s a snuggle session or sex — is totally up to you.

2. You must write traditional vows.
“Everyone always says their I dos in the same way,” says Amy Nichols, owner of Amy Nichols Special Events and co-founder of The Poppy Group. “It’s hard to break from the ‘to have and to hold’ stuff.” But ditching traditional vows and writing your own heartfelt words to one another can be incredibly meaningful, for you and your guests. We’ve even got tips here on what to include to get you started. “It’s always a special moment for your guests,” says Nichols, “and it’s something you’ll remember throughout your married life.”

3. You must keep your wedding dress under lock and key.
You want your groom to go googley-eyed when he sees you in your wedding gown for the first time. But Brame says that doesn’t have to be during a first look or on your walk down the aisle. “By the time you’re walking down the aisle, he’s in a daze anyway,” she says, “so a pre-wedding fashion show is fine if you really want him to appreciate how gorgeous you look. You can make it sexier by teasing him about how he can carefully tear it off you once they’re married.”

4. You must have a bachelor and bachelorette party.
Most guys and gals have one last hurrah to celebrate their dwindling days of singledom. “It’s pretty common to have one last crazy night on town just before your wedding,” agrees Nichols. “But consider trading a wild night for something a little more sophisticated, such as a painting or pottery class for the ladies. Take the guys golfing or on an extreme outing like cliff-diving. Not only will your wedding party remember this event much more, but you’ll avoid the inevitable hangover.”
