The romantic relationship between Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom has been, well, blooming (get it?) since the too-perfect pair hit it off at the Golden Globe Awards red carpet back in January. So far, it looks like Perry and Bloom have been seeing nothing but fireworks (again, get it?!), as they’ve been getting hot and heavy on a yacht in Cannes, a Hawaiian vacay, and — oh yeah — while paddle boarding in Italy sans swimsuit. And while there’s no engagement ring on the pop princess’ finger just yet, Perry and Bloom are definitely showing those tell-tale signs of heading to the altar — except for the relationship pet peeve Perry just revealed. The “Roar” sing just got way real about what she hates about dating Orlando Bloom. But have no fear “Berry” fans, because we have the perfect solution!
In a recent interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Perry divulged her biggest compliant dating the actor, saying “My boyfriend lives in Malibu, and getting used to that [drive] was like, ‘Are you kidding me? What kind of life is this?'” Okay, so while we wouldn’t necessarily call the space between Perry’s Los Angeles home and Bloom’s Malibu digs long-distance, we can definitely see the nuisance in commuting to your sweetheart.
“I get the whole ‘coming to L.A. and living by the beach’ thing,” continued the pop star. “But it’s really like, it’s so far, nobody [who lives in town] is going to come see you.” Ouch! Good thing their love transcends the Pacific Coast Highway, right?

But these two cuties should really listen up because we have the perfect solution to their not-actually-long-distance long-distance relationship: Just get married already! Easy peasy, right? That’ll totally lessen that commute Perry hates so much. And it sounds like the couple is definitely heading in that direction. A source recently shared with E! News that the duo is well on their way to tying the knot. “They are in love and happier than ever. [Orlando] would like to get engaged to [Katy] before the year is up,” the source divulged.
And with all the money they’ll be saving on gas, just think about how big of an engagement ring they could get!
