Nicholas Sparks himself couldn’t pen a better love story than that of Clemma and Sterling Elmore of Oklahoma. With a whopping 57 years of marriage under their belts, these two are #MarriageGoals personified. “He said the first time that he laid eyes on me that he said, ‘That’s the girl I’m going to marry,'” remembers Clemma, sending our hearts all aflutter. Basically, the Elmores are The Notebook‘s Allie and Noah IRL. And if you had any doubts, the too-cute couple just celebrated almost six decades of their picture-perfect romance with a photo shoot inspired by 2004’s The Notebook. Prepare for all the tears.
“We never fail to tell each other, probably 10 times a day, ‘I love you,” Clemma shared of her aspirational relationship with ABC News. All those I love you’s started decades before, when the couple wed just four months after meeting when Clemma boldly asked her beau to tie the knot. Listening to a radio broadcast in which a proposal took place, Clemma jokingly asked the same question to Sterling. He said yes and they wed that following Saturday. Now over 57 years later, the two are just as head-over-heels in love as ever and marked the milestone with quite possibly the most perfectly themed shoot ever.

With photographer Stacy Welch-Christ in tow, the couple headed to a meadow to take their Notebook-inspired photos, complete with the film’s vintage truck (the Elemores’ son’s ’54 Chevy), a stack of Noah-esque love letters (penned by Clemma and Sterling themselves), and original ’40s ensembles. “You are my life and my true love,” Clemme wrote to her husband, according to Inside Edition. “You are God’s gift to me and I love you,” Sterling reciprocated to his forever sweetheart. We’re SOBBING.

The resulting dreamy photographs are beyond beautiful, featuring Clemma and Sterling canoodling and adorably embracing seemingly right smack dab in the Nicholas Sparks-imagined world. “I told them they were just to pretend they were movie stars and act like this was a movie and have fun,” photopgraher Stacy Welch-Christ told Buzzfeed. “As soon as they walked out for that first pose, it was the most natural love I have ever photographed.”
Allie and Noah ain’t got nothing on these two.
