The Addison
Teeming with Old World charm, Boca Raton’s The Addison is perfect for brides going for that Roaring ’20s theme. Take your pick of picturesque locales from the courtyard covered with 100-year-old Banyan trees to one of the estate’s beautiful ballrooms. If you really want to incorporate the building’s 1920s charm into your wedding backdrop, host an intimate dinner for 30 in the Fountain Room, with grand wooden doors weaved with wrought iron that’s all part of the original décor. Brides debating between garden and beach can have the best of both worlds at the private club that’s been a longtime hotspot for Miami’s socialite set. Built in 1926 on an avocado plantation, the restored beauty offers brides 26,000 square feet of event space to play with — from a palm tree-lined courtyard perfect for welcome cocktails to the Billiard Room with its grand cathedral-style ceiling. The Villa Casa Casuarina
Built in 1930 by Alden Freedman,treasurer of Rockefeller’s company, the Ocean Drive villa was inspired by the globetrotting architect’s love of Christopher Columbus during one of his many travels. Freedman based the design on the oldest residence in the western hemisphere (that just so happened to be built by Columbus’s son), the Alcazar De Colon in the Dominican Republic. These days the 23,000-square-foot mansion is known more for being the one-time residence of Versace, with its iconic Moorish tiles, mosaic-lined walls and iconic 24-Karat gold-lined Thousand Mosaic Pool. Throw a fete to remember for up to 300 overlooking the water or host a more intimate dinner in the private dining room with dessert that’s also topped with gold. Once the party wraps up, your suite awaits upstairs. Book the largest of the villa’s 10 — the Venus Suite — with balconies boasting double views of both the ocean and pool.

Hand-painted Cypress wood ceilings, etched brass gates, and sweeping Tennessee marble floors are just a few of the details that make Miami’s only Art Deco skyscraper a favorite for couples who want a ballroom venue with vintage flair. The former bank opened its doors on Christmas Day in 1939 and still has its original vaults, which double as 1,500 square feet of event space with bank teller windows transforming into a glamorous bar setup.
