Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar are the epitome of #relationshipgoals, having met during the height of their fame in the ’90s and endured 14 years of marriage. (In Hollywood years, that’s like 70 years.) In a recent Facebook Live, Prinze Jr. detailed his first ever dinner date with his now-wife, and his description of that encounter is adorbs.

It all started on their very first dinner date at a restaurant in Los Angeles, California. Prinze Jr. said that he has been on multiple dates with various Hollywood actresses before, and they all had something in common that he didn’t like.

“A lot of girls back then in Hollywood as far as the actresses, they didn’t eat, they ate salad,” said Prinze Jr., according to People.”And I had gone on a date with a handful of them; they would never eat what I would eat. You have to have that in common with me if we’re going to get along.”

Prinze Jr.’s attraction to sharing food with someone that he is dating isn’t all that uncommon or out of the ordinary. What he said next, though, is where the story gets a little, er, wacky.

“And so Sarah came to dinner with me, and we sat down and she ate everything, including a crab that they let walk across the counter, then kill while it was alive in some oil and said, ‘It’s popcorn, try.’ And she ate it without even blinking, and I was like, ‘Yo, my girl is legit.'” Ha!

Prinze Jr.’s story of his first dinner date with Gellar is heartwarming, and helps to shed some light on how the couple, who dated throughout the late ’90s and married in 2002, have enjoyed 14 happy years of marriage in Hollywood while it seems that all other celebrity couples can’t even last a few years. There is only one this you can say about these two love birds; their marriage is legit.
