: If you’re interested in a modern, dramatic look, but don’t want to get too dark (think: classic smokey eyes), Kate Hudson’s look is the perfect inspiration. Start with a super glowy complexion using either a powder foundation with mica or a natural finish BB Cream. Then go in and warm things up with a matte bronzer on the hollow of the cheeks. Keep your brows and lips natural and subtle, with just a bit of brow pencil in sparse places and a pale pink lip gloss. For the eyes, turn to the color of the season — berry — and use at least three shades — a deep burgundy smudged in the outer corners and crease, a lighter, shimmery shade of pink in the inner corners and a bright raspberry above the crease for a pop of color. Use plenty of mascara on your natural lashes, and apply a few individual lashes at the outer corners for added umph.

: Interested in defying the laws of nature and looking particularly fresh and youthful on your big day? Reese Witherspoon looks at least 10 years younger than she is, and here’s how you can chase your younger skin, too. In addition to adding a retinol product into your skincare routine at least three months before your big day, makeup application is also key. When you’re lining your eyes, don’t extend the liner all the way to the inner corner, stop about midway around the eye. A very light wash of pale pink blush on the apples of the cheeks is also age-defying. Finally don’t forget that all-so-important highlighter! Use a very fine powder formula that adds plenty of radiance, but not that heavy makeup look. Embracing the back-to-90s trend of slightly visible lipliner is also fun and therefore youthful!

Vanessa Hudgens at the 2016 Creative Arts Emmys:
Looking to have some fun on your wedding day, but don’t want to go with bright colors? Bring some metallics into your look ala Vanessa Hudgens! Start out with a flawless, matte complexion by buffing your foundation into place with a wet makeup sponge. Then contour your face with a matte bronzer and a highlighter that brightens, but doesn’t leave a shimmery finish (leave the shimmer for your eyes!). Give your brows some precise definition by creating straight edges as you fill them in, and tightline the eyes. Then use two shades of silver/grays$a darker shade for the entire upper lid and smudging under the lower lashes and a lighter shade for the inner corners, above the crease and out past the outer corners toward the tails of your brows. Be sure to use lots of mascara to accent the effect. A semi-matte nude lipstick is the perfect pairing.
