Jesse Metcalfe of John Tucker Must Die made us want to die when we first got a look at the engagement ring he picked out for his soon-to-be bride, fashion blogger Cara Santana, back in August. And since then, we’ve been waiting to see how those wedding day details are shaping up for the early aughts movie and TV star. After all, his bride-to-be earns her living as a major trendsetter, so their wedding day is bound to be super chic, right? Here’s what we know so far…
The Date
According to Entertainment Tonight who chatted with Metcalfe at a recent Hollywood party, the couple is opting to take their time when it comes to wedding planning. (More time to make it all the more fashionable and jaw-droppingly gorgeous, right?) “We kind of set the date of September 2018,” revealed the actor. “We’re locking down a venue right now.” We’re marking our calendars as we speak!
The Location
And just where will this venue be? We can totally see this laid-back pair tying the knot in a nature-setting or in a trendy seaside soirée. “It’s gonna be on the East Coast, and that’s all I can tell you!” teased Metcalfe. Couldn’t be a little more specific there, Metcalfe?! But considering that Metcalfe popped the question while he and Santana were aboard a boat sailing along the Hudson River, an East Coast wedding seems totally fitting.

The Details
Thankfully, the former Desperate Housewives actor divulged a few more big day details to keep us satisfied. “I feel strongly about the music and I think we both agree and feel strongly that we just want to create an environment and throw a great party that everyone enjoys. We kind of want to do this for our family and friends, for our loved ones. Although it’s our big day, we want it to be a day that they’re going to remember, too.” Obvi they will! (And so will we, too!)
Although good tunes are a total must-have for Metcalfe, it sounds like he’s leaving the rest of the wedding plans up to his bride-to-be. “She kinda runs everything by me, so if something jumps out at me and I’m like, ‘No! I definitely don’t want that,’ then I kinda get to put my two cents in,” he explained. “But for the most part, it’s her party.”
In that case, a super chic soirée is a total given — and we can’t wait!
