Every bride-to-be who considers herself an “Indie bride” no doubt has Lovely Bride on their radar. We had the chance to sit down with Lovely Bride founder Lanie List after the recent Bridal Fashion Week and she gave us a glimpse into what the cool girl brides will be wearing come 2017. Lanie’s love for swoon-worthy gowns and discovering the latest “It” wedding dress designer is no secret, and she shared her 3 favorite wedding dress trends with us, and the dresses that made them special.
“There was so much that felt new and fresh to us this October,” List said. “Perhaps it was the chill that took over the city on Saturday, but we were excited to see some coverage that felt romantic and ethereal.” Here, List’s top 3 trends and favorite wedding dresses from the Bridal Fashion Week runways — as seen through her own personal lens.

Long Blouson Sleeves
“With daring necklines and illusion fabrics, these long sleeve options didn’t feel stuffy or costume-like,” List told us.
Hayley Paige — “This gown would be stunning for a candlelight evening wedding.”
Chosen by One Day — “The new line from Australia has a sophistication but the airiness of the fabric would still be appropriate for an ‘I Do’ at Horseshoe Bend (a new wedding hot spot in the Grand Canyon).”
Sarah Seven — Sarah’s sensibility is fun and spot-on-trend, and we can totally see this bride in Palm Springs with bright red sunglasses on her wedding day.

High Neck Lines
“An ode to the 90’s, the high neckline, whether in a racer style or full turtleneck, looked so sexy, not frumpy, as it once did when I was a kid,” List added.
Limor Rosen — “This floral gown would look amazing on a bride dancing in the fields.”
Watters — “I love this high neck as an overpiece, so you can register that cool trend in your art gallery wedding then remove it to get rowdy on the dance floor.”
Tara Lauren — “This racer style is great for an athletic-built beauty. I can definitely see her sipping champagne on a beautiful boat.

Off-the-shoulder Gowns
“So elegant and chic, these portrait necklines really bring attention to your face.”

Theia — “City Hall then to her dinner party, this dress is totally for an elegant nighttime wedding.”
Chosen by One Day — “The balance of the sophisticated top and the sheer skirt makes us think of an an Italian beauty carrying her bouquet through windy cobblestone streets in the Cinque Terre.”
Leanne Marshall — “This bride is ready for a fiesta. She is probably doing tequila shots with her groom immediately after their ‘I dos’.”
