She may have just slipped on the ring, but Dancing with the Stars pro Emma Slater is already dancing into wedding planning. Just a little over a week ago, Slater’s fellow dancer Sasha Farber dropped to one knee and proposed right on the ballroom floor during the live filming of DWTS. But Slater is in for the running for the disco ball trophy of productive brides-to-be. The woman seemingly has all of her big day plans on lockdown — and she’s spilling MAJOR deets!
Slater was seemingly still happily high on that post popped question bliss when she chatted with Entertainment Tonight and dropped all the details of her upcoming nuptials to Faber, which she apparently already has all planned out. (Phew! Must have been a busy week for the professional dancer…) Her number one must-have on the big day? “A pickleback! It’s very popular in Russian culture,” said Slater, referencing her hubby-to-be’s heritage.

Okay, so vodka: Check! Any other big day necessities for this bride? A star-studded bridal party, of course! Slater promised that we’ll be seeing some familiar faces donning bridesmaid dresses and walking her down the aisle, including their DWTS co-stars Lindsay Arnold, Brittany Cherry, Witney Carson, Jenna Johnson, and Hayley Erbert. Can you say score? And in the most fitting twist we can imagine for this too-cute couple, Slater wants DWTS host Tom Bergeron to officiate their I do’s. “[Tom] will do the best job,” she said. “Tom Bergeron is going to be the best person to marry us.” He proclaims the winner of the hit show, after all, so who better to proclaim them husband and wife?
So when is all of this going down? Right now it looks Slater and Farber’s big day is slated for 2017, with the bride wanting to be engaged for at least a year, although 2018 “just feels so far away.” As for the venue, Slater is envisioning a woodsy environment. “[It will be] casual, yeah, I want it to be a party more than anything,” she explained. “I want everybody to be there and I don’t want it to be like, ‘stressful bridezilla, oh my god, she’s a nightmare.’ I want to be happy and to turn up and for everyone to be smiling and be partying.”

And like any bride-to-be, Slater is already dreaming of the perfect wedding dress. “I would like, I think, fitted but lace traditional,” she said. “I don’t want to give away too much, but I definitely want to do not too sexy. Tasteful — tasteful elegance I’ll say.”

Sounds like the perfect frock to get down in during her sure-to-be amazing first dance with her pirouetting fiancé — although, these two haven’t yet decided if they’ll perform a fully choreographed number on the big day. “We haven’t even talked about that [yet],” Slater said. “You know, it’s funny, I don’t think that we will [perform]. And if we do, it’s not going to be like [serious] — it’s going to be cheesy.”
