Miley Cyrus FINALLY Opened Up About Her Engagement Ring

Alert! Alert! After almost an entire year of silence over her relationship with Liam Hemsworth, avoiding pointed questions about the super sparkly ring on her finger, and constantly throwing us off track by referring to The Hunger Games hunk as simply her boyfriend, Miley Cyrus is finally opening up about the engagement ring from Hemsworth that she’s been rocking since January. But get this… Cyrus apparently doesn’t even like it! Umm, what?!

Excuse us, but how could anyone not love that dreamy Neil Lane engagement ring with its 3.5 carats cushion-cut diamond and 18K gold band?! Sigh… But TBH, we’re counting our blessings that Cyrus even mentioned her beautiful bauble at all! So what does the pop star have to say about the sparkler? Here’s what went down…

Cyrus appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently and caught us by surprise when she finally, finally, finally commented on her engagement ring. Previously, Cyrus expertly evaded questions about the Neil Lane sparkler during an interview on Today by playfully talking about the other rings she was toting — a watermelon-shaped ring and another featuring a strawberry. “I got this one because it was really cute,” Cyrus said, pointing to her plastic watermelon ring. “And then I got this one because it was really cute,” she continued, referring to her strawberry-shaped bling. But thankfully, DeGeneres managed to get a straight answer from The Voice coach.

“There’s a photo that got a lot of attention of your engagement ring,” DeGeneres began, referring to the selfie Cyrus posted back in January — the very first snapshot of Cyrus wearing the bauble since she and Hemsworth split in 2013. “It’s actually really weird because this is like real jewelry and most of my jewelry is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy,” said Cyrus, who was still wearing the diamond on the talkshow. “They don’t look that good together because they kind of mix up, so sometimes I replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney tune.”

But, no surprise here, her hubby-to-be would prefer she wear her engagement sparkler over a cotton candy unicorn ring! “He’s kind of like, ‘What’s going on?'” Cyrus said of Hemsworth. Cyrus’ response? “This isn’t really my aesthetic but I’ll wear it because you love me.” Bite your tongue, Cyrus! A ring that pretty is everyone’s aesthetic!

“He could’ve saved a lot of money and by giving you like a gummy bear ring,” joked DeGeneres. True… But then we wouldn’t get to ooh and aah over that Neil Lane beauty!
