We’re getting real sick of waiting to hear those wedding bells ring out for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. The rumor mill has been spewing wedding news about the pair for months now, getting us all excited at the prospect of their nuptials, and then disappointing us with when Shelton and Stefani don’t actually become a Mr. and Mrs. But the latest wedding rumor about the country crooner and the pop princess sound — dare we say — very promising. Reportedly, Stefani and Shelton have a wedding date already set and are finalizing their plans for their big day! Here’s what we know…
According to Radar Online, the “Make Me Like You” singer is indeed planning to marry her sweetheart — and sooner than we thought! (Oh please let this be true…) Allegedly, the wedding of Shelton and Stefani will take place on May 5 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills, although deciding on the wedding venue was a tough big day detail for the pair. “They can hardly agree on anything!” a source shared. “Gwen wants to go big on this and Blake wanted to make it an informal affair down home in Tennessee or their new place in Oklahoma. But he’s not willing to go to the mat against her.” So it doesn’t look like The Voice duo will be tying the knot in the rustic, backyard wedding we originally envisioned. But, hey, as long as they say “I do,” right?
Stefani is also allegedly planning for a huge party and a guest list to match. “Gwen’s guest list was 700 people alone,” said the source. “She also wanted to have a bunch of celebrity music stars perform — but he didn’t want to turn the wedding into Woodstock.” So far, rumored guests of the nuptials include Jennifer Aniston and hubby Justin Theroux, Courteney Cox, Katy Perry, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, Luke Bryan, and Brett Eldredge — who rumor has it will also serve as the groom’s best man — plus both the bride and groom’s exes, Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, are also expected to score invites. Let’s just hope the officiant skips over that whole objection part of the ceremony…

“Gwen knows Blake’s out of his depth here with all this glam,” the source further explained. “So she’s agreed to foot the bill for the wedding while he will pick up the tab for the honeymoon!” But one thing the couple can definitely agree on is their wedding song. They reportedly will be playing wedding singer at the own reception, where they’ll belt out a duet of Jon Bon Jovi’s “Blaze of Glory.”
