Museums are designed to make artwork shine on display, and for brides that want to impress their guests on the big day, Miami has a variety of locales to do just that. Miami’s museums offer brides a blank canvas when it comes to creating a wedding space that plays to each couple’s personal style and taste. Bayfront views, Art Deco décor, and stained glass windows are just the start when it comes to choosing a dreamy museum locale in Miami, all just minutes from the beach.
Pérez Art Museum Miami
Can’t decide whether to tie the knot in a garden or gallery? Pérez Art Museum Miami delicately balances the two, giving brides a range of options from the natural — vertical gardens hanging on the al fresco terrace — to a more modern setting inside the industrial-inspired gallery space. Want to throw in a water element as well? Take the after party out to the bay with golf courts whisking your guests from the museum to the foot of a luxury yacht. Read real brides’ reviews here!
The Bass Museum of Art
Art Basel regulars will recognize the sprawling lawn in front of the Bass Museum, which plays host to a number of public art installations during the annual art extravaganza. The former Miami Beach Library and Art Center on Collins Avenue transformed into a contemporary art museum in the ’60s and is once again in the midst of a renovation. The new space will be reopening in November with refreshed spaces for brides to celebrate post-ceremony. Sip champagne under the stars with parties of up to 300 on the Arthur and Alice Adams Terrace or host a sit-down dinner for 80 at the cafe — with views looking out at Collins.
