Almost every bride has fitness on her mind when prepping her body for her dream wedding, but would you go as far as a CrossFit-themed wedding?
Well, at this year’s CrossFit Games in Carson, California, one couple did just that!
Oliver Drewes and Christina Moore, a fitness-loving couple from Brooklyn, New York, married on Saturday after winning a Reebok WOD Wedding contest on social media, according to The Huffington Post.
The ceremony, which took place in the center of the StubHub Center, had minimal decorations except for a large Reebok logo made out of what look like red roses, and huge letters spelling out “better together” that were covered in white and green flowers. The bride and groom had matching Reebok sneakers that said “bride” and “groom” respectively, and they both opted for black and white workout gear instead of a dress and tux. The bride wore white sneakers, a white tennis skirt, and a white sports bra with a birdcage veil and bouquet of white flowers, while the groom wore black sneakers, a black workout t-shirt, and black shorts.
But their fitness ceremony didn’t stop at their outfits and decor. Drewes and Moore exchanged vows that were very fitting for the celebration.
“I promise to push you to achieve PRs while still no-repping you when you don’t break parallel,” the bride said. “In sickness and in health, until death do us part.”
After the ceremony, the newlyweds watched the CrossFit Games finals and sliced into some paleo wedding cake.
When asked who would win the CrossFit Games, Drewes had the sweetest answer that pretty much summed up the whole day.
“I won because I got to marry the woman of my dreams in the middle of the StubHub Center,” he said. You can see the heart warming moment in the video of the ceremony above.
