Day 27: Limit The Libations
The days leading up to your wedding are guaranteed to be filled with family, friends and festivities. Which means lots and lots of toasts — making it all too easy to overdo the booze.
“Limiting alcohol is one of the first things I recommend to brides-to-be because it’s just added, empty calories and it’s going to wreak havoc on your weight loss goals,” says says New York City nutritionist Keri Gans, R.D., author of The Small Change Diet.

Cut back to a glass or two a night, and stick to wine, champagne, or something simple like vodka with club soda and lime, versus sugary cocktails which can be huge calorie bombs. Make your own bubbly at home with a SodaStream (a registry must-have you’ll thank us for later), and mix with muddled fresh limes and mint for a health conscious — not to mention seriously refreshing — Mojito.
If you don’t want to be without a glass in your hand, alternate your alcohol of choice with water. It will help keep you hydrated, clear-headed and ensure those scale digits don’t start moving in the wrong direction.
