Beyoncé's Backup Dancers Just Got Engaged on Stage!

He put a ring on it! One man at a recent Beyoncé concert must have been really taking those lyrics to heart, as he proposed to his girlfriend during the superstar’s recent St. Louis concert and got down on one knee right there on stage next to Queen Bey. So who’s the groom-to-be and the lucky lady who’s no longer among the “Single Ladies?” None other than two of Beyoncé’s very own backup dancers, who effectively stole the show with their super sweet moment.

The St. Louis leg of Beyoncé’s Formation world tour on Saturday September 10 included a bit of a break in formation when backup dancer John Silver stopped the show to put a ring on. Beyoncé was in on the plan, as she delivered a surprise performance of “Single Ladies” before pausing to hand over the stage to Silver.

Silver sashayed right over to his sweetheart, dance captain Ashley Everett, grabbed her hand, and then addressed the screaming crowd. “She’s my queen, so I feel like it’s only right to come out here in my hometown,” he began, before dropping down to one knee and popping the question. Cue the cheers and the tears!

Queen Bey soon descended upon the two to bestow her blessing — a little too soon, in fact! When she realized that the couple were still too busy embracing to accept her congratulations, she hilariously scurried away as not to crash their post-proposal moment.

Then it was back to business for these backup dancers! “Now let’s see you do the choreography after that,” Beyoncé joked. But it seemed to be no sweat for Everett, who jumped right back into that iconic “Single Ladies” choreography, flashing her now-blinged out hand to the crowd.

“#Helikeditsoheputaringonit,” Everett later hashtagged a photo collage of the epic moment. Oh, yes he did!
