She finally gets her (bouquet of) roses — and is happily married! On Saturday, Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelor alum Ashley Salter married her college sweetheart love Austin Brannen in the Bahamas.
The 26-year-old and her new husband, who have a five-month-old son together, rekindled their love earlier this year, according to the Daily Mail. The two met up in Georgia when she started filming the second season of Bachelor in Paradise, and it seems like the rest is history — although she did date two cast members (Dan Cox and Nick Peterson) during her stint on the show. The happy couple got engaged last September, and reports claimed that Brannen popped the question after taking Salter to a helipad at the W Hotel in Atlanta, complete with a bouquet of roses (obviously!) and a breathtaking view of the southern city. Clearly he has a lot to live up to, because she’s used to some pretty spectacular and picturesque dates.
The former hairstylist and her commercial real estate broker beau tied the knot on the beach in a beautiful ceremony at the Atlantis Hotel & Casino. Wearing a semi-illusion high neck gown with a loose mermaid fit, the bride stunned in ivory — while her groom wore a dapper beige suit with a simple white button down, totally channeling beach vibes. Salter’s hair was pulled back in an intricate chignon style with her veil cascading down from the nape of her neck over a beautiful scooped-out back of her dress. Sparkly statement earrings completed her look, and it’s easy to say that the two looked absolutely
stunning together. Her bridesmaids wore taupe lace tops and sage-colored tulle skirt separates, holding delicate bouquets of white roses.
Throughout their wedding weekend, Salter and her man shared a series of photos on Instagram, which took place on quite the gorgeous and sunny day on the tropical island. “My last day as a single woman #saltertothealter #brannengotthefinalrose,” she wrote while wearing a black two-piece bathing suit (making us pretty jealous of her 5-month post-baby abs). In another snap, she was wearing the same black bathing suit, snuggled up to her groom-to-be on the beach with the caption under photo saying, “@agbrannen can’t wait to tie the knot xx #saltertothealter #brannengotthefinalrose.” Her hubs posted a few sweet photos of their destination weekend as well, his latest being a shot of the newlyweds at their sweetheart table with the ocean just behind them.
Of course, seeing her tie the knot brings back some pretty comical memories of our beloved “Ashley S” on Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor, who gained her claim to fame when she compared people to onions (what? they really are complex with lots of layers…). Needless to say, it looks like her reality show days are behind her and she’s enjoying her role as mom — and now wife! Congrats you two — we can only imagine that an alum from The Bachelor is going to take quite the decadent honeymoon.
