Since early this year, Miley Cyrus has been wearing the megawatt engagement ring Liam Hemsworth gifted her way back in 2012, leading everyone to believe that the pair was back together and heading down the aisle. Cue the joyous screams from the Milliam fans (us included!). In the months since then, Cyrus has reportedly moved into Hemsworth’s mansion, the couple has been rumored to be planning a seaside wedding down under in Australia, and even Hemsworth himself pretty much insinuated that the engagement rumors were true in a GQ interview. However, despite Hemsworth’s frequent guest appearances on her Instagram, Cyrus has remained rather tight-lipped on her relationship with The Hunger Games star. (Super annoying, right?) But the pop star finally finally finally was forced to address her rumored engagement ring on her appearance on the Today show. Again, cue the Milliam-enthusiast screams.
The 23-year-old songstress headed to New York City today to promote the upcoming season of The Voice — in which Cyrus is lending her coaching expertise — and her new Woody Allen Amazon series, Crisis In Six Scenes. But of course, during her Today appearance, the conversation turned to that rumored bridal bling sitting pretty on Cyrus’ finger.
When host Savannah Guthrie asked about the Neil Lane sparkler Cyrus was wearing, the “Wrecking Ball” singer playfully started talking about the other two rings she was toting — a watermelon-shaped ring and another featuring a strawberry. “I got this one because it was really cute,” Cyrus said, pointing to her plastic watermelon ring. “And then I got this one because it was really cute,” she continued, referring to her strawberry-shaped bling and cracking up the host. That’s not what Guthrie meant, Miley!!!!

But then Cyrus finally referenced the super special sparkler on her left ring finger — you know, the one we were ACTUALLY wondering about… “I didn’t pick this one out, but it’s cute, too” she said.
Now that’s certainly putting it lightly!
