It’s the most wonderful time of the year — Bridal Fashion Week! For us that means hundreds of the most beautiful wedding dresses strutting down the fashion week runways. Some of our favorite designers gave us a preview of what wedding dresses will look like in 2017, sharing sketches of the designs that will be coming down the runway. From Monique Lhuillier to Mira Zwillinger, Marchesa, and Naeem Khan, here’s a sneak peek at the dresses that we’ll see at Bridal Fashion Week this week.

The Anne Barge Fall 2017 collection is inspired by the glamour and gravitas of the famous Ziegfeld Follies showgirls. Equal parts sensual and sensational, the collection is composed of 30 vintage-inspired gowns featuring dramatic silhouettes, rich fabrics, and elaborate details.

“I surround myself with confident woman and am constantly inspired by their strength and poise; The F/W 17 collection was created for those discerning females. I incorporated regal elements into each garment; from luxe appliqués to lush layers of European fabrics to ensure that the special woman who wear my gowns feel like their most beautiful selves.” &mdash Berta

“I dreamt of Fall ’17 as a modern adaptation of a classic fairytale. Every gown alludes a deep sense of romance, but there is a certain hint of whimsy in the details that makes this collection special.” — Francesca Miranda

We always do our best to bring bridal couture towards high-end fashion. The new collections will present a fresh POV with edgy silhouettes and a diversified color palette (like using Orange Blossom with a touch of gold for the first time), for brides who want to be up-to-date, yet chic and modern. Among our Couture and GALA lines you’ll find also new patterns and sophisticated, breathing fabrics.

“The Fall/Winter 2017 “Not Your Baby” collection was inspired by successful, sexy and strong real women. I personally invited 9 other Houghton Girls to participate in a fashion film to feature and present the new FW17 collection and then designed looks with each individual woman’s personal style in mind. After doing so many seasons of the traditional runway show, I felt compelled to take on an inspiring project and add meaning to what I was designing. The women explore how they cope with the unrealistic standards and pressures that so many women face in their daily lives while modeling looks from the collection. I also collaborated with Lulu Frost on a custom capsule collection of chokers and earrings for the film.”

The Belgium-based brand is inspired by the boho bride, a free spirit who’s distinct style is a natural extension of herself. The 2017 collection at its core is bohemian, with a hint of rock n roll.

Van Dyck, Rubens and El Greco portrayed numerous women in all their different styles: heroines, dreamers, warriors, romantic, luxurious; these women were posing innocently or looking abstracted within sublime sceneries. As the notorious artists, Yolan Cris wants to make an homage to the feminine universe through the new Studio Collection. — Yolan Cris
