Let’s face it, all of us dream of a non-stop shopping spree in Paris. Sure, the City of Light is known for romance (an ideal honeymoon destination!), food, and wine, but one of its biggest draws will always be the fashions. But it’s not all couture shops and name brands, some of the best in Paris shopping happens when you have an inside scoop on what stores to hit.

BRIDES fashion editor Elle Strauss recently took to the streets of Paris to prep for a photo shoot (stay tuned!) and she gave us a little insider knowledge on her favorite Parisian shops. From magazined editors’ favorite drug store beauty staples, to classic department stores, and vintage gems, Elle is here to take you on a fashion editor’s shopping tour of Paris (perfect to help with your Parisian honeymoon planning).

1. Monoprix:
Monoprix is literally my first stop when I land in Paris. The department store is basically a fancy mini Target, fancy to us because it’s FRENCH and that makes it super fancy in my book. I stock up on French drugstore must haves: Bioderme Crealine (amazing makeup remover), Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè, Homeoplasmine (France’s multi-use balm better answer to Vaseline) and anything by Nuxe (I just love the famous oil’s smell). I also always check out the clothing line for bargains. On my last visit I picked up a fab pair of chambray overalls and a divine basket bag. (monoprix.fr, various locations)

2. Colette:
The famed clothing and concept store is a must-see even if it’s just to stare at the gorgeous clothing, and then purchase a novelty notepad. (colette.fr , 213 Rue Saint Honor??, 75001 Paris)

4. Pretty Box:
For dangerously good vintage rock ‘n’ roll meets Jane Birkin clothing this wonderful little shop has a great selection. I have yet to leave empty handed! (prettybox.fr, 46 Rue de Saintonge, 75003 Paris)

5. Le Bon Marché

Le Bon Marché is my favorite department store — and the world’s oldest, opened in 1852. It’s beautifully designed and has everything: clothing, books, home goods, kids items, even food. (lebonmarche.com, 24, rue de S??vres
