Teresa Palmer keeps her smokey look light, Zoe Saldana gives us a gentle pop of color and Mila Kunis shows us the soft side of glam. These three red carpet looks are giving us major wedding beauty inspiration.
Teresa Palmer at the premiere of ‘Lights Out’: How do you keep a smokey look light and glowy? Let Teresa Palmer lead the way. Start by buffing a radiant-finish foundation into your skin, followed by a very subtle contour (buffing a matte bronzer into place helps keep the effect low key). Tightline the eyes with a brown pencil and create a smokey effect with shimmery copper and bronze shades, making sure you use plenty under the lower lashline, and finish off with just a coat or two of mascara. Plenty of highlighter along the cheekbones and brow area (apply it in that ‘c’ shape) and nude glossy lip keep things light and fresh. Another tip? Play down your eyebrows—a very against the trend approach—by either dying them a shade lighter or using a brow powder lighter than their natural color.
Zoe Saldana at the premiere of ‘Star Trek Beyond’: Looking for a sweet and ladylike way to incorporate some color into your bridal look? Zoe Saldana’s makeup is the definition of demure. A flawless complexion is warmed up slightly with a coral blush on the apples of the cheeks and highlighter along the cheekbones. Tightline the eyes with a black kohl pencil and swipe a pearly blue eyeshadow from the lashes to the crease of the upper lid. For Zoe, this shade coordinated perfectly with the hue of her dress, and a bride can easily match the pop of shadow color to her florals or other accent color. A coat of mascara and then a light pink lipstick applied not-too-precisely complete this laid back, ladylike look.
Mila Kunis at a private screening of ‘Bad Moms’: Who says you can’t have it both ways? At least when it comes to your makeup, you can certainly go for the glam without losing sight of reality, just like Mila Kunis. After prepping your face with a lightweight foundation, use a pop of bright pink blush on the cheeks and highlighter on all the high points of the face. A glamorous look requires perfectly groomed brows, so make sure you get yours shaped by a professional before your big day. For the eyes, tightline with a kohl pencil and then extend the line out the corners and smudge the line into a slight cateye shape. Apply a gray eyeshadow from the lashline to the crease, and then use a shimmery silver shadow from the middle of the eye to the inner corner on both the lids and under the lower lashes. Use several coats of volumizing mascara, and line and color the lips with a soft pink, glossy lipstick.
