Why This Shocked Wedding Party's Photo Is Going Crazy Viral

Usually when it’s time for wedding pictures to be taken, a photographer will instruct the wedding party to say “cheese” or some other witty phrase to get the bridesmaids and groomsmen chuckling. Now, these photos generally aren’t very candid, but they sure make for a pretty centerpiece on a newlywed couple’s mantel! But that wasn’t exactly the case for Peter Saab and Leah Juliano’s Sept. 9 wedding when their photographer, Leslie Hollingsworth, came veeerrry close to being hit by a car.

As you can see in this hilarious, albeit frightening, viral photo, the wedding party reacts with shock as Hollingsworth, a Birmingham, Alabama-based professional photographer, snaps a few pics in the street to get a wider shot of the rather large group. Without her even knowing though, a car came dangerously close to running her over, and the bridesmaids’ faces clearly tell it all.

“It was such a huge wedding party, so I had to back up a little bit [to get the shot],” Hollingsworth told The Huffington Post. “Maybe two feet off the curb. I was out there for five seconds.” But five seconds was all it took for a car to fly down the road and nearly knock her over. According to the HuffPost interview, she describes how she “just felt the wind go past me. It was really close!”

Obviously concerned about her safety, the father of the bride decided to step in and get her off the road. “[He] actually pushed me forward right after the pic was taken,” Hollingsworth told PetaPixel. “My assistant told me how close I came to being hit…The father of the bride was yelling and shaking his fists at the driver. Too funny!”

Quite possibly the funniest part of the whole ordeal though was when the photographer processed the photos the next day, as she had taken these pictures on film. She had no idea she had captured the wedding party’s jaw-dropping reactions until the pics developed a day later. “It was so hysterical,” Hollingsworth told HuffPost. “All the girls are horrified. The couple is sitting there indifferently. They don’t even notice anything. And all the guys are like ‘What just happened?!'”

Typical men, amirite?

Bella's Twilight Engagement Ring Is Going To Be Up For Sale

Twilight Engagement Ring Up for Auction

How has it been almost an entire decade since Twilight sent teenage (and adult — no shame here) hearts all aflutter. The first film in the franchise hit theaters eight years ago and the vampire phenomenon subsequently took a bite of the nation, with hordes of fans under the spell of its books and movies. Say what you want about the sometimes silly dialogue or fantastical plot lines, but there’s no denying that Twilight gave us some serious wedding inspo — from Bella and Edward’s floral-filled ceremony, to the bride’s Carolina Herrera long-sleeve silk sheath wedding dress, to her stunningly unique engagement ring. And now, fans of the film can buy themselves a piece of that vampire-filled big day as a collection of original Twilight memorabilia is now up for auction!

Brides-to-be who dreamed of being proposed to with a ring just like Bella’s beautiful oval engagement ring can now own that very same bling — complete with every one of its 69 diamonds. So listen up, grooms! Cosmopolitan reports that a collection of props, costumes, and set decorations from the Twilight films will be going to auction for fans to sink their fangs into.

The public can place their bids online, in-person, or by phone for items such as Bella’s engagement ring (which is expected to fetch between $3,000 and $5,000), Edward Cullen’s journal, Bella’s copy of Wuthering Heights, Jacob’s motorcycle, and Bella’s iPod (no word if it comes with angsty teen tunes pre-downloaded), with the auction concluding on November 19th and 20th at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatres.

Also up for grabs is other wedding day memorabilia, including Bella’s bouquet, bejeweled hair comb, and oh yeah, her bloodstained and tattered wedding dress from a dream sequence. We’d say you’ll probably save money recycling these Twilight props for your own big day, but you might want to rethink that last one…

6 Style Rules for Bridal Shower Guests

bridal-shower-style-rules.jpg

Photo: Getty Images

Unlike wedding invitations, bridal shower invites don’t always make the dress code crystal clear. That can leave your BFFs and other guests wondering, “What in the hell do I wear!?” Well, we’re here to help. We talked to national etiquette expert Diane Gottsman, owner of The Protocol School of Texas, to score her top tips on how to dress to impress at your next bridal shower.

1. Steer clear of white
Obviously, you don’t want to upstage or outshine the bride on one of her special days (duh!). So definitely steer clear of white, and although black is acceptable when it’s a festive look, getting the style right can be tricky, warns Gottsman. “For example, I was recently at a bridal shower where everyone was dressed in fun, party clothes and the host’s sister wore a black terry romper that could easily be worn to wash her car! Rule number one, the cut and style have to fit the occasion.”

2. Consider the season
Now that we’re officially in the cooler months (finally!) wearing something that can transition from in to outdoors would be a good idea, advises Gottsman. “Dress in layers if you know you’ll be going in and out during the shower.” Not sure? Layers are still smart just in case.

3. Think about the bride’s tastes
Take her personality into consideration when selecting your shower outfit. “Does she appreciate the latest trends or is she more conservative? Does she prefer you cover up or will she be wearing something off the shoulder and prefer you join her?” When in doubt, Gottsman recommends calling or texting the bride, who is obviously your friend, and asking her what she suggests you wear. Give her choice a and b.

4. Remember: Location is key
Where will the shower be held? If it’s a fancy restaurant, of course you’ll want to dress accordingly, notes Gottsman. “If it’s in someone’s super cool, renovated barn that’s decorated with all the shower frills, a casual but stylish and pretty ensemble that can weather the elements would be better for the occasion. A warm sweater, knee high boots and a great pair of skinny jeans may be the perfect choice for a chilly afternoon shower, which includes a bonfire, warm soup and s’mores of course.”

5. Let the invitation be your guide
If there isn’t a dress clue or code on the invite, dress “up” rather than “down” and don’t be shy, says Gottsman. Give the host a ring and ask what she suggests. “Always think happy, stylish, celebratory and fun! You can’t go wrong when you bring your best outfit to the party.”

6. Avoid anything that’s “too”…
“Too short, too tight, too revealing or too over the top is not a shower guest style option.” You want all eyes on the bride for the right reasons and not on you for the wrong ones!

This 86-Year-Old Bride STUNNED in a Purple Wedding Dress

While many brides-to-be consider finding their wedding dress to be one of the most difficult decisions of planning, some brides have a laser-focus on what they want, and just go for it. Case in point: New Jersey resident Millie Taylor-Morrison married Harold Morrison on October 16, just after turning 86 — wearing a purple satin wedding gown. The clincher? She designed it herself.

The former model (who was represented by Emily Miles’ Belle Mead Modeling Agency in the late 1940s and 1950s) turned 86 last week and walked down the aisle last week to marry a man from her church, according to the Telegraph UK. Taylor-Morrison’s granddaughter posted a beautiful pic on Facebook and it went totally viral. “”This is my beautiful grandmother, Millie Taylor-Morrison, who was married over the weekend at 86-years-old,” she wrote on Facebook. “She just turned 86 one week ago and her new husband will be 86 in December. My grandmother was married to my grandfather for 41 years when he passed away. She found love again almost 25 years later and our family couldn’t be happier for her. This is a true testament that age is just a number and everyone can find love again.”

When it came to her bold dress choice, Taylor-Morrison asked a young fashion designer, Marco Hall, whom she knew from her church to sketch her dream dress. As he shared on his Instagram, she had come to him with a sketch and said, “I’m going all out because this might be my last hurrah.”

“I had a vision of what I’d like this dress to be,” the bride explained to People.”So I asked a young man in my church who is an artist to sketch it and I took it to the dressmaker. Purple and lavender are my favorite colors. It was exactly what I wanted. I felt so wonderful.”

And she definitely went all out. The glowing bride-to-be wore a beautiful lilac-hued birdcage veil, a deep purple floor-length gown, and a stunning lavender jacquard robe-style coat, all designed by Marco Hall. Millie’s bridal party (of her children and grandchildren) wore lilac- and purple-hued dresses with purple flowers and a ring of baby’s breath, while the groomsmen wore light gray suits with matching bowties.

Millie and Harold first became friends over 60 years ago — with her new groom actually attending her 1952 wedding to her deceased husband. After Millie’s first husband passed away, she began to care for Harold when he wasn’t feeling well and also drove him to church. “I used to sing in the choir and Harold attended my church. I would be standing with the other choir members, waiting to walk out and he would come over and kiss me on the cheek before sitting down for the service. I used to admire him in church. He dressed impeccably and I admire that in a man.” And the rest is history. The couple set a wedding date and tied the knot on Sunday at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey in front of 200 friends and family. Clearly this new power couple has quite the bond, and their story is just too precious, let alone stylish!

Upon standing in front of the mirror for the first time, the 86-year-old was in shock. “I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “It was exactly what I wanted. I felt so wonderful.” Her granddaughters shared the same sentiments about the big day. “Their wedding day was beautiful and she was a sight to see. Harold was emotional, he started to weep a little.”

Here's Why You Should Do Pre-Marital Sex Counseling

Premarital Counseling Questions

Photo: Getty Images

You’ve heard of premarital counseling. But what about premarital sex counseling? It sounds a little crazy — after all, you’ve known about the birds and the bees for years — but our experts say many couples can benefit from this kind of counseling before they tie the knot.

As Madeleine Castellanos, M.D., sex expert and author of Wanting to Want: What Kills Your Sex Life and How to Keep It Alive, explains, “The sooner a couple can start having healthy communication about their sexuality and their expectations for their sexual relationship, the sooner they will find harmony in their sex lives together.”

Beyond that, adds Gloria Brame, Ph.D., sexologist and author of The Truth About Sex: A Sex Primer For The 21st Century, “if there’s a hint of sexual problems or conflicts, a sex therapist can resolve it and help them create a more solid foundation to their marriage. Counseling can answer any concerns or questions they may have,” she says, including those worries you may have for down the road. “In premarital sex counseling, I also lightly prepare couples for the challenges of married sex, not just as it is this year but how it will be for them 20 years and even 40 years out,” she explains.

See More: A Bride Shares Her Experience with Pre-Maritial Counseling

During sessions, our experts say, a couple might discuss anything from: Their expectations of frequency and sexual compatibility; any anxiety around sex; their individual (and joint) sexual styles; their thoughts about pornography; how they feel about foreplay; and even how sex could change after children. “Premarital sex counseling helps a couple have an open dialogue about sex so that they can learn to negotiate times when sex might be affected by life events,” explains Castellanos.

Most couples benefit from premarital sex counseling, our experts agree, even if they’re already sexually active with one another. As Brame points out, this kind of counseling may be a couple’s first frank discussion about sex with one another. “One of the biggest problems married people have is poor communication about sex, so talking to each other about their sexual needs, fantasies, and functions, in plain English, is often a [good move].”

But that doesn’t mean premarital sex counseling is for everyone. “If both people in a couple find that they can be open and honest about their thoughts and feelings related to sex, and are also able to listen openly to their partners as well, they probably do not need premarital sex counseling,” says Castellanos.

If you think you and your partner might benefit from premarital sex counseling, a good place to find a qualified sex therapist or educator is the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists’ website.

This Is What Your Love Horoscope Says About Your Relationships This Week

Dream big, brides! This week is all about working on your relationship and your goals at the same time. Relationship astrologer Ingrid Hansen breaks down exactly what the stars have in store for you and your love life over the next seven days, with our weekly love horoscope.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)
You are one of the more motivated signs of the zodiac due to your fiery nature, but this week you’ll want to further assert your will to accomplish your wedding day goals. Mars’ influence will make you push harder, especially creatively, however you may be tempted to make a snap decision. Talk to your fianc&#233 first, keep a clear head and trust your instincts.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
Don’t put too much energy into things that don’t concern you or get pulled into activities that are draining. Stay focused on your one-on-one time with your sweetie this week. Mercury and the Sun join Scorpio and that has you cooking up all sorts of ideas on ways to spend sexy time.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
Fine details are on the menu this week. You’ll get even more excited about the big day the deeper you dig into your current projects. Venus and Jupiter are delivering more optimism so you’ll feel like your dreams are actually attainable. Be diplomatic with authority figures and use your charm to gain favor instead of using a direct approach. Thursday you’ll find the spotlight is on you and you’ll get attention for what you’ve done.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
Your mental energy is at an all time high this week, dear Cancer, and new relationships set the stage for what’s in store early next year. The new moon is moving into your love sector, so take advantage of it and plan a romantic weekend. Some downtime will help you brainstorm some new ways to connect and relate to friends (or furry ones).

Leo (July 23 – August 22)
You’re feeling nostalgic this week and you’ll do more reflecting on the past. Mid-week your financial situation is likely to improve as the Sun aligns with Mercury. You’ll have new ideas and conversations about capitalizing on your new windfall. Home improvement and new projects will be your main focus later in the week.

See More: What It’s REALLY Like to Be With Him (According To His Zodiac Sign)

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
You’re more mindful of creating stability for yourself right now, amidst a chaotic few months. Early in the week you’ll push people, your partner included, or new projects away and want to be left alone to recharge. Later in the week, however, you’ll experience a wave of energy that comes partially from welcomed attention from friends, family or colleagues.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)
Financial freedom, decisions and independence start on Monday and you’ll be able to think more out of the box. Avoid major decisions on Tuesday, as you’ll feel less focused due to a clash with dreamy Neptune and your ruler, Venus. You’re more intuitive at the end of the week and optimism abounds. Sunday you’ll be more ambitious with money and thinking up ways to make it on the weekend.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Dust off projects early in the week and you’ll be able to finalize projects or issues that have been nagging at you over the past few months. New energy from a shift in Mercury is lighting up your desire to accomplish new things mid-week and it may involve giving back and making a difference.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
A light bulb will go off or maybe two or three this week! You’ll work behind the scenes on new plans that will likely have a big impact in the coming months. Mid-week, Jupiter and Venus team up, which will brighten the way others relate to you, including your partner, or prompt an exciting invitation.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
It’s all about serious matters early on this week, which you’ll be working hard to solve or improve. Use the power of Mercury in Scorpio to be inventive and original with your problem solving and you’ll have better luck. Mid-week you’ll be more focused on big-picture thinking and seeking long-term fulfillment.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
Your mind will be filled with thoughts on your career this week, but your heart will gravitate toward strengthening your personal relationships (and romantic relationship) and you’ll look for ways to balance both. Your approach turns more practical when it comes to achieving your goals, so clean out the clutter and consolidate your to-do lists.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
You’re always full of big ideas, Pisces, and this week is definitely no different. Tuesday will consist of lots of daydreams so don’t expect to move mountains until later in the week. You’ve been feeling less constricted and more hopeful as Saturn has loosened its grip on your ruling planet, Neptune. Stay grounded and practical and you’ll be surprised at how everything in love and life in general will shape up just as you imagined.

Chris Hemsworth's Response to Those Rumors of Marriage Trouble is PERFECT

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky

We may have lost Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, but rest assured that Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky are still going strong despite what you may have been reading in those tabloids. With breakup rumors swirling around the Australian actor and the Spanish model, Hemsworth took to Instagram to set the record straight — in the most adorable of ways!

TBH, our hearts nearly skipped a beat when we set eyes on a recent Woman’s Day Australia article that predicted Hemsworth and Pataky to be Hollywood’s next big split. The too-cute photos of their little family on Instagram regularly give us life — how could they possibly be calling it quits?! “Sources say the pair could be the next celebrity couple to call time on their marriage,” claimed the mag. “And with their relationship on the rocks, insiders say Chris and Elsa are almost living separate lives.” Ummm, what?!

Thankfully, that also seemed to also be the reaction of the couple in question, who shot down the breakup rumors with a pair of precious photos, posted to social media.

Late on Sunday night, Hemsworth shared a sunny photo of himself and his sweetheart cruising along on a boat and looking out to sea. “Looking for a new wife according to @womansdayaus and other misleading outlets!” Hemsworth captioned the pic, calling out the mag directly. (Bold move, Hemsworth!) “Honey you still love me right?!” he wrote, tagging Pataky and adding #thanksfortheheadsup for good measure. This morning, Pataky followed suit, posting a pic of her and hubby relaxing on a porch with their pup. “Always and forever!!” she captioned the sweet snapshot.

Phew! Who is else is relieved that these two cuties are still going strong? We have to say we were nervous there for second… After all, the pair did tie the knot just mere months after meeting back in 2010. “It did happen quick and it just felt right, just, it made sense,” Hemsworth previously shared in an interview on Good Morning Britain. “There was no great plan to any of it to be honest, we were on holiday and we said, ‘Why don’t we get married too?’ and then the next minute…”

But these two are definitely in it for the long haul. “Watching her be a mother made me fall even more in love with her,” the Ghostbusters actor told The Who magazine. “Once we had kids we were like, ‘We’re in it, this is it.'”

Ahora y siempre ! Always and forever!! ???? @chrishemsworth

3 Couples Who Had a Fitness-Inspired Wedding Ceremony

Fitness Themed Weddings

Photo: Getty Images

If fitness is an important part of your life, you’re likely hoping that your other half will also be as into working out as you are. After all, working out as a couple comes with lots of benefits: it builds the connection the two of you have with each other, builds a sense of camaraderie and, yes, it also makes for a steamier sex life.

So when you do finally meet your swolemate, what better way for the two of you to tie the knot than with a ceremony inspired by your favorite way to stay fit? That’s exactly what these couples did. While most wedding planning involves a white dress, a sit-down dinner and dancing, these couples had something a bit different in mind. Read on for the most inventive fitness themed wedding ceremonies to ever happen, from Nama-saying yes (sorry, had to) to saying “I do” at a mud run.

Alix & André
“My husband and I got married at our yoga studio in Chicago. We hired our yoga teacher to teach us a yoga class, and then we had a ceremony, with just us and one friend who took photographs. Our studio has super high ceilings and hardwood throughout, and the sunlight was shining through on a very warm January day. The teacher we hired actually taught a group of judges at the courthouse downtown and asked one of them to officiate the ceremony. It was the first time he married a couple in his socks! It was perfect.”

Krissie & Paul
“The moment Paul and I met, we knew there was something special between us. Immediately, we found out we both had a love of running obstacle course races and working out. It wasn’t long after our first date that we ran our first Mud Run together. We had the time of our lives! When the time came for our wedding, we knew we wanted something unique, which incorporated everything we held dear to our hearts. The moment the decision to say our vows at our favorite obstacle race (Monster Challenge) was made, our MudRunFun family came together to give us our perfect day. In a matter of minutes, we had a volunteer officiant, cake, decorations and approval by the race director. The day was everything we hoped it would and more. Our families came to the wedding, and even surprised us by running with us as a married couple. We were not only able to seal our love, but we were able to introduce obstacle course racing to the people in our lives, and give them some awesome memories to take home. The day was perfect, and an added bonus was that it was on Halloween!”

Christina & Oliver
“Oliver and I were set up on a blind date by our wonderful friends. For that first date, we met in the gym where Oliver worked. Since the first week of our relationship, we’ve enjoyed working out together. We’ve completed multiple partner competitions and obstacle course races together. We always have a great time encouraging one another and watching each other achieve new personal records. We are both actively involved and employed in the fitness industry, and believe that fitness is a core pillar for a happy, healthy, long life. Sharing our individual experiences and helping others to reach their health and wellness goals means a great deal to both of us. We went to the Reebok Crossfit Games for a vacation in 2015. We had already booked our flights, hotel, purchased tickets, etc. for 2016, when we got the news that we won a Reebok-sponsored wedding at the 2016 games. We decided to enter the contest because our trip to the games in 2015 was the best vacation we had ever taken together. We had a blast. We got engaged in June 2016 and thought, ‘Wow, getting married in our favorite place, at our favorite sporting event? Why not?'”
