A slew of celebrities were in Philadelphia for this week’s Democratic National Convention, and while we know that one couple is definitely engaged (here’s the photo proof), Katy Perry was definitely teasing us with some suspicious-looking bling on her left ring finger. So, the question is, “Are Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom engaged?” Here’s what we know.

According to Hollywood Life, The 31-year-old pop star performed at the culmination of the DNC for Hillary Clinton’s presidential nomination on July 28, and during rehearsal, she was wearing a thick multi-colored band in the spot where an engagement ring would normally go. Her doting beau, Bloom, 39, was there — supporting his main squeeze and cheering on their party. But, are they actually engaged? Only time will tell — but it certainly gets our hopes up!

An engagement between the two wouldn’t be that far-fetched; after all, they snuggle in public and look pretty snazzy together at award shows — and, above all — they agree on politics (a serious feat for any couple). The “I Kissed a Girl” singer took the stage right before Chelsea Clinton introduced her mother, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, at the end of the convention, and sang her new single, “Rise.” In not-very-Katy-Perry-outfit fashion, she donned a glitzy striped gown (can’t lie — we were expecting a bit more from this brazen babe). It’s also important to note that she wasn’t wearing the multi-colored band while doing her live performance — mixed signals to the max.

As far as the ring, it’s not your typical engagement ring-look, but the fact that she is wearing the ring on that finger makes us wonder, that’s for sure. Perry and Bloom have been dating since early 2016, after being spotted canoodling at January’s Golden Globes parties. In March 2016, they confirmed that they were officially an item and seem to be getting pretty serious. When she’s not supporting her preferred presidential candidate, Perry is gallivanting around with her man on a tropical vacay in Hawaii — and most recently, Cannes, France.
The jury is still out on these two and their engagement status, but needless to say, the pop princess would make for one beautiful bride!
