Grrr… Why must you play with our emotions like this, Milliam??!! Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been keeping us on the edge of our seat with Milliam Wedding Watch 2016. Ever since that megawatt engagement ring Hemsworth gifted Cyrus way back in 2012 reappeared on her finger early this year, we’ve been waiting to sneak a peek at the pop star in a wedding dress and for these two to tie the knot. (And obviously we’ve been totally patient about it…) But as it turns out, all of that waiting might have been in vain. In fact, Cyrus and Hemsworth might not be engaged after all, according to a new interview the “Wrecking Ball” singer gave, in which she might have just let her true relationship status slip.
In the months since that Neil Lane engagement ring made its comeback tour on Cyrus’ finger, Cyrus has reportedly moved into Hemsworth’s mansion, the couple has been rumored to be planning a seaside wedding in Australia, and even Hemsworth himself pretty much insinuated that the reconciliation rumors were true in a GQ interview. But we might have been getting ahead of ourselves with the wedding planning, according to the most recent relationship reveal from The Voice‘s newest coach.
Cyrus has remained pretty tight-lipped regarding her love life. For instance, during her appearance on Today earlier this month, she managed to expertly evade host Savannah Guthrie’s questions on the special sparkler on her finger. But when the 23-year-old songstress sat down with Elle magazine for an interview in their October issue, she may have shed some light on the situation.

Although she was still rocking her ring, Cyrus continuously referred to Hemsworth as her “boyfriend” throughout the interview — not her fiancé. Umm, what?! Did Cyrus just let her relationship status slip? Are these two really not engaged after all? Have we been living a lie?!
Brides-to-be may know that there is big, big, BIG difference between ‘boyfriend’ and ‘fiancé,’ but let’s not forget that Miley is, well, Miley. The girl has never let labels cramp her style, so she might still very well be planning a wedding to her “boyfriend.” Or perhaps the sneaky songstress is just trying to throw us off their tracks. Either way, we’re not losing hope just yet…
