How to Spend a Magical 3 Day Honeymoon in Sorrento, Italy

Sorrento Italy Honeymoon Ideas

Stunning, historic, picturesque and cinematic are just a few words that barely begin to do the coastal town of Sorrento justice. A perfect honeymoon destination located in southwestern Italy, there’s so much to do, see, taste and experience. Follow our guide for a once-in-a-lifetime experience (packed into just 3 days) in Sorrento.

Day 1

Morning
Try to combat jetlag and exhaustion from your flight by sleeping in (just a little) and waking up to the gorgeous sights, sounds, and smells of sunny, seaside Sorrento. Grab a cappuccino and croissant and head off to your first adventure as a married couple. Just don’t forget the sunscreen!

Afternoon
Take a private boat tour to the stunning island of Capri. There’s nothing more romantic than spending a day on the sea with your new spouse, taking in one of the world’s most picturesque places. There are group tours you can take, but it’s worth splurging on a boat for just you two. Experiencing the Blue Grotto is something that every couple should do at least once, so why not kick off your marriage with it? Although during high season it can be very crowded and touristy, you’ll still want to spend some time on the island itself. To get away from the crowds, take a scenic walk for a late lunch to Le Grottelle, a quaint family-owned place that isn’t overpriced.

Evening
You should arrive back in Sorrento around 7:00 PM, which leaves you plenty of time to enjoy a nice night. If you ate a late lunch in Capri, you may not be too hungry yet, so take a stroll down Corso Italia, the main road through town. It’s one of the great shopping streets in Italy — you’ll find everything from unforgettable handmade ceramics to high-end clothing. If you’re up for dinner, try Ristorante Pizzeria Tasso, where you can share a true Neapolitan pizza as well as traditional Italian fare. And of course, you’ll want to end your night with gelato!

Day 2

Morning
There are numerous tours to Pompeii and/or Mt. Vesuvio from Sorrento. Whether you want to do a full day tour and do both stops, or just a half day and see Pompeii is up to you. For this, we’ll suggest that you do the full day tour and see both sights. First, you’ll check out the ancient ruins of the city of Pompeii. Following the eruption of Vesuvio, the city was covered for years before being excavated. What was found was a bustling Roman city, with a complex water system, an amphitheater, city center, and more. Though it can be very hot in the summer months, Pompeii is a must-see for anyone staying in the Naples/Sorrento/Amalfi Coast area.

Afternoon
After Pompeii, your tour will take you up towards the summit. For those of you who want some adventure, you can reach the actual top of the mountain by foot if you choose. If so, you’ll experience some of the more stunning views in the area.

Evening
After your tour returns, you may need a bit of a rest (especially if you hiked to the summit!) After a quick hotel breather, return out for your final night on the town. One of our top suggestions for dinner is Da Gigino, especially if you worked up an appetite earlier. Pizza in the Naples region is simply off the charts, and nobody does a better authentic pie in town than Da Gigino. They have a planet of varieties to choose from and the pies are big enough to share for two if paired with a salad or appetizer. For dessert, try Puro for excellent gelato and coffee.

Day 3

Morning
Spend your last Sorrento morning beach side, savoring the early morning quiet and long swims in the Mediterranean. Once you’ve had your fill of sun and sand, it’s time to head into the heart of town.

Afternoon
Sorrento is a great launching off point for seeing other areas of Italy, but there’s nothing wrong with spending the day in town, either. For a nice, laid-back but delicious lunch, try La Fenice. Grab a table outside and enjoy your lunch while basking in the fresh air. If you like seafood, they offer many specials based on the day’s catch. After lunch, take a stroll down Via San Cesareo and its surrounding blocks. The narrow, cobblestone street is filled with shops and restaurants — you’ll have to walk the length of it multiple times to notice all of its great stores. End the day by heading over to Piazza Della Vittoria. Sit on the grass under a tree and take a moment to look out over the stunning view of the Gulf of Naples, with Mount Vesuvio and Ischia on the horizon.

Evening
It’s your last meal in town, and there’s no better place to do so in Sorrento than L’Antica Trattoria. Make a reservation ahead of time, if needed. You’ll enjoy one of the best meals in the city, in a stunning setting covered by beautiful trellises adorned with colorful foliage everywhere you look. The zucchini flower is a top appetizer, and the chicken roll stuffed with buffalo mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, and cream of peppers is a can’t-miss. If you don’t opt for dessert at L’Antica Trattoria, Gelateria Davide is luckily close nearby, one of Sorrento’s top gelato destinations.

Céline Dion Debuts New Song in Honor Of Her Late Husband

Hearts all over the world broke for Céline Dion when she lost her beloved Husband, René Angélil. The new song she just released in his honor is going to break hearts all over again.

Dion announced back in July that she was working on a new album, and that one of the songs would be a tribute to her late husband so fans should “get ready” to feel all sorts of emotions after hearing it. And, boy, was she right.

The song, which is titled “Recovering” and was written by Pink, features nothing but Dion’s vocals and a piano accompaniment. The lyrics are sad and soulful, and you can hear the emotion and heartbreak in Dion’s voice as she sings. It is nearly impossible not to cry when you hear it. (You can listen to the song below.)

“I am recovering / The hope that I lost / The part of my soul / That paid the cost,” she starts the song. “Little by little / Day by day / One step at a time / Shake off the devil / Take back my peace of mind.”

The song continues with Dion admitting that she is an “anxiety addict“, “broken perfectionist”, and “constant regretter,” as she takes you though her emotional journey of trying to use music to heal.

Though the entire song is a powerful, emotional tribute to Angélil, the last lines of the song are the most gut wrenching of all.

“Tell him I love him,” she sings. “Take back my peace of mind.”

The sad, honest vocals from Dion combined with Pink’s lyrics, make this song another iconic piece of music that fans of Dion will always remember. Dion credits “Recovering” for helping her to move forward with her life, and had to opportunity to thank Pink for the song when they met at the Billboard Music Awards in May, where Dion received the Icon award, according to People.

“When I saw her, I said, ‘For you to take the time to really write a song, to give me a tool, a piece of luggage to help me, to move forward to walk, to keep going…’ ” Dion said. “She is phenomenal. I love her for her talent, for her strength, for her focus, for the person she is.”

Dion and Angélil met when Dion was 12 and Angélil was her manager, but their relationship didn’t turn romantic until Dion turned 19 in 1987. They got engaged in 1991 and were married 1994 in Montreal. Together they have three children and stayed happily married for 21 years until Angélil’s death in January 2016 after a long battle with cancer.

A Whimsically Glamorous Fall Wedding in New York's Hudson Valley

In April of 2012, amidst a sea of Match.com messages full of humble (and not so humble) bragging, Lauren spotted one that stood out. “It simply read, ‘What is your favorite Mumford and Sons song?'” says the bride of her first message from her now-husband Brenden. Nearly 100 emails later, she finally asked him when he was going to ask her out. “Our first date ended at a café in Greenwich Village that’s literally across the street from my old apartment,” says Lauren. “I had a midnight curfew because I was supposed to help my mom move the next morning, but I stayed out until 3 A.M. and was completely useless to her the next day. Thankfully, she adores Brenden and eventually forgave him!”

Two years later, with a little help from some friends, Brenden lured Lauren to Gantry Park in Long Island City, where a group of their friends held signs that read “WILL YOU…,” and Brenden got on one knee. “We always joked that he’d never be able to surprise me, but I was shocked!” says Lauren. Since they both grew up in the New York area, they had a mutual love for the Hudson Valley, which made searching for a venue much easier. When they found Shadow Lawn, they knew it was the perfect spot for their open-air ceremony and whimsically glamorous barn reception. “We really wanted to find the balance between rustic and elegant,” the bride says. We’d say they nailed it! Check out this September 26, 2015, wedding, photographed by Lauren Fair Photography, below!

Pops of burgundy were perfect for the mid-fall celebration, and the gorgeous floral invitation liner hinted at the wedding palette to come. Lauren added a little blush to her bridal ensemble with crystal-adorned pumps from SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker. Her Sarah Seven wedding dress, with an A-line skirt and a beaded bodice over a silk slip, was actually the second dress she purchased. “I bought a different dress first, but fell out of love with it,” she says.

Brenden wore a classic navy tux from J.Crew, and both accented their looks with a combination of burgundy and ivory blooms — and their pup, Ollie! “We spent months trying to figure out how to incorporate him into our big day, but were worried he’d cause all sorts of problems. At the last minute (after two glasses of champagne), we decided to let him off his leash and hope for the best.” Thankfully the pooch trotted right down the aisle to his parents!

Lauren’s fall-hued bouquet combined burgundy and bright pink ranunculus, dahlias, Sahara roses, spray roses, magnolia leaves, raspberries, and chocolate cymbidium orchids, tied with flowing ivory ribbon.

Groomsmen matched Brenden in navy blue suits, while bridesmaids wore chiffon Joanna August dresses in a soft blush hue. Says the bride, “We had three ring bearers under the age of two. It was an adorable mess — tears, belly laughs, and a near Janet Jackson Super Bowl moment when Brenden’s nephew almost pulled down his mother’s dress!”

The ceremony took place on the lawn, with a petal-strewn aisle leading to an arch covered in roses, willow branches, and greenery.

Instead of hiring an officiant, the pair asked a close friend — an entertainer by profession and one of the most eloquent speakers they know — to officiate. The bride and groom wrote their own vows, and invited four of their family members to read snippets of advice to the newlyweds.

“I did so much research going into our planning process, and was worried we’d never be able to make a decision,” says Lauren. “Thankfully, the moment we found our venue, photographer, videographer, florist, and caterer, it was love at first sight and we immediately stopped looking!”

Guests’ escort cards were strung from lengths of twine with miniature clothespins.

Before everyone headed into the barn for dinner, they enjoyed a spread of Hudson Valley specialties, like cheese and local charcuterie, and sipped the #BeLegendary, a combination of Grey Goose Le Melon, lime juice, simple syrup, St. Germain, Lanson Brut Champagne, and a ball of cantaloupe for garnish.

In the barn, long tables were topped with garlands of magnolia leaves studded with white roses and burgundy dahlias. Each place setting featured an ivory napkin and a printed menu outlining the meal of beef short ribs, crispy cod, and a butternut squash bisque.

“We lit the barn with café lights and battery-operated tea lights &mdsah; so the barn wouldn’t burn down!” says Lauren.

On the lawn, benches were covered with blankets so guests could cozy up around the bonfire later in the evening. There, everyone could enjoy obligatory s’mores!

The couple had a small cutting cake, but the main focus was on their two favorite sweets: chocolate chip cookies (his) and doughnuts from Dough Brooklyn (hers).

The couple shared a first dance to “What Would I Do Without You,” by Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors. Two other songs that guests loved? The Hora and “What Do You Mean” by Justin Bieber!

Says the detail-oriented bride, “Everyone says no one will notice the details, but I can’t tell you how many people commented on ours. If you’re a bride or groom who takes pride in planning and hosting, then do sweat the small stuff — in advance of your wedding day, of course — and then relax and have fun on your big day!”

The 4 Things Newlyweds Should Include in Their Reception Toast

same-sex couples

Photo: Sasha Israel Photography

While the toasts that get the most attention before the wedding are those of the parents of the couple, the best man, and the maid of honor, did you know the newlyweds should really plan to make a toast during the reception, too? It’s not a long one (that’s usually made by the groom during the rehearsal dinner), but it’s always a nice touch. So what should you make sure to say when you raise a glass during the reception? Our experts have a few ideas.

A toast by the newlyweds during the reception isn’t required, but it is a nice touch — one that can also be useful in moving along the evening’s events if need be. Here are a few things to make sure you include:

Thank Yous
Begin by thanking both of your parents, your families, and your wedding party for all the support they’ve provided during the planning process. If one (or both) of your sets of parents contributed financially to the wedding, be sure to thank them for hosting such an amazing evening in your honor. You should also thank your guests for traveling to be there with you!

A Word to One Another
You may have said a lot already during the ceremony, but you’ve been married for only a few hours, so why not gush for a moment about how happy you are to be married to the person standing next to you? A sweet aside will garner a few “aww”s from the crowd and remind everyone why they are there with you.

Whatever is Coming Next
Is it time to head from dinner to the dance floor, or for your cake cutting? As you wrap up your toast, let guests know if you’ll need them to head to a different room, gather around the dance floor for the first dance, or stay in their seats as entrées are served.

A Toast!
Don’t forget to end your toast by inviting guests to raise a glass. Toast to love, to life, to fate, or to your family and friends for coming to your wedding, then clink glasses and take a sip!

Kylie Jenner's Enormous Diamond Ring from Tyga is Actually Only a Promise Ring

She’s been teasing us for months with her bling — and now finally we have our answer. Kylie Jenner is sharing what the diamond ring on her finger from Tyga means — and spoiler alert — it’s not an engagement ring.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star shared an up-close-and-personal look at her gigantic diamond on Snapchat, according to People. In her snap, Jenner, 18, shared a photo of her and her rapper BF’s hands next to each other, both rocking diamonds that are literally blinding. For the caption overlay she wrote, “If this is my promise ring I wanna know what my engagement ring gonna look like.” Touché, Kylie, touché.

While the carat size of Tyga’s looks insanely large (we’ve seen plates smaller in radius), her bling appears to be just as monstrous when it comes to your everyday engagement ring — not to mention a ‘promise ring.’ Seriously though, the stone (which appears to be a marquis-cut sparkler with a halo) would give most celebrity carat sizes a run for their money, let alone us peasants. But we digress.

So there you have it. She’s not engaged — yet — but the on-again-off-again makeup mogul and rapper have been dating pretty steadily for the past year, which always raises the question of when it’s going to go down. Throughout their relationship, Jenner has been letting engagement rumors fly — primarily due to her Snapchat posts, which seem to always include a peek of her bling. (In one snap she even actually called the rapper her “husband” — not kidding).

Husband or boyfriend or fiancé aside, no matter how you slice it, it seems that the two are hot and heavy for each other. We’ll be waiting, Kylie, as another Kardashian/Jenner wedding is always welcome. In the meantime, we’re thoroughly enjoying watching Rob and Blac Chyna’s wedding planning unfold.

Cindy Crawford looked every bit the supermodel she is, Natalie Portman sported her baby bump on the red carpet, and Kelly Bensimon made tiered ruffles chic and elegant. Here, the red carpet looks we couldn’t get enough of this week.

Cindy Crawford at the Tom Ford Fall 2016 Fashion Show and Dinner: Let’s be honest: Cindy Crawford looks amazing in just about everything. The supermodel is a muse to many fashion designers and she took to Tom Ford’s Fall 2016 Fashion Show and Dinner with husband Randy Gerber. Her white halter gown from the iconic designer featured a plunging neckline, draped bodice, and curve-hugging skirt: the perfect dress for the simple bride who wants to look chic without trying too hard. We also love it for an outdoor, warm-weather ceremony. Easy waves and flawless makeup like Cindy’s are all you need to carry this ensemble off without a hitch.

Natalie Portman at the Planetarium Premiere at the 73rd Venice Film Festival:
We were over the moon when we heard that Natalie Portman was expecting! Her baby bump made an appearance this week, cloaked in a one-shoulder Dior gown. As the face of the French fashion house, it was no surprise that she opted for one of their elegant designs for the occasion—a consummate number for brides-to-be who are always also mothers-to-be, or those who want a refined, and classic dress for their big day. Her updo let the gown’s polished neckline and modern cape back play centerstage, while her rosy lips gave a great pop of color.

Kelly Bensimon at the Cartier Fifth Avenue Grand Reopening Event: Tiered ruffles are one of our favorite details from our adolescence: they’re fun, flattering, and create lots of movement. Kelly Bensimon wore them this week, slipping on an Ulla Johnson LWD that was gorgeous beyond words. We’re all for this frock for an engagement party or bridal shower—it will give you the chance to flaunt your toned legs while looking positively epic on the dance floor.

Mean Girls Star Lacey Chabert Gives Birth to a Baby Girl! See the Adorable Pic

This baby is so fetch! Uhh, we mean adorable… Mean Girls star Lacey Chabert just gave birth to her first child with husband David Nehdar on Thursday, September 1. And now, just a little over a week later, Chabert is sharing her adorable little one’s first baby photo on social media and it’s practically killing us wth cuteness!

After tying the knot with her hubby over the 2014 holiday season, Chabert announced her mom-to-be status back in February of this year, with an adorbs Instagram pic, featuring none other than her fur baby who shared the good news. “My mom is having a baby and all I get is this silly shirt,” read the tiny tee Chabert’s chihuahua wore in the photo announcement. Now several months later, the actress is finally a new mom. And one baby for Gretchen Wieners. Bye!

Chabert just announced the birth of her baby — a little girl she named Julia Mimi Bella Nehdar, according to People — on Instagram, posting a precious pic of her daughter. “And then my soul saw you and it kind of went, ‘Oh, there you are. I’ve been looking for you,'” Chabert captioned the photo featuring little Julia swaddled in a pale pink blanket. “#TBT to the best day of my life,” the actress continued. “One week ago I became a mom to this precious angel. Julia Mimi Bella. Julia, you are my heart’s deepest dream come true. I love you more than I could ever say. Welcome to this big beautiful world sweet girl!” Those big brown eyes though! We’re in love!

“These past nine months have flown by and yet they’ve also felt like an eternity,” Chabert previously told People ahead of her due date. “It’s surreal and beyond exciting that my due date is finally approaching! In some moments I feel completely ready and in others, I panic that we have forgotten to take care of something before her arrival.”

Judging by the ‘Gram, it looks like Chabert had nothing to worry about. Her little girl seems happy, healthy, and — oh yeah — too adorable for words!

6 Brides Share the Moment They Truly Felt Married

While planning a wedding and signing a legal document stating that you are legally married are both big deals, there’s nothing like post-wedding-day life that will make you feel like a married woman. Here, six brides share the moment that made them feel truly married. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t on their wedding day!

“The day I returned to work after our honeymoon and answered my phone for the first time with my new hyphenated last name I just smiled and realized I am now part of a team. It is not just me anymore! A strange but wonderful feeling. It sunk in further that week when I started using my new signature to sign checks and documents. Still smiling after 24 years!” — Paige

“What truly brought home to me that I was part of something larger was buying our first home — it was a real ‘what’s mine is yours’ moment.” — Sara

“After a little over a year of married bliss and seven months of pregnancy glow, we lost our baby boy to preeclampsia. It has been rough but brought us closer together in that we had to lean on one another through the reality of good and bad times. It even prompted me to write a book about it — www.yourpeacejourney.com.” — Keanna

“This may sound strange but it really was my honest to goodness ‘feel married’ moment. My mother was a big support to me all the years when I wondered if I would ever find ‘him’. We’d talk tirelessly about what he would be like, what she hoped for me, what the wedding would be like — all dreams until one day, at age 46, I said matter-of-factly, ‘Mom, I think I found him.’ She said, ‘I think you did too, honey. I hear it in your voice.’ She was going to walk me down the aisle — she wanted happiness for me more than anything in the world. When she passed away a year before the wedding, I missed her so much at times I couldn’t breathe. I came up with a creative solution to having her ‘walk’ me down the aisle: I sprinkled her ashes on my wedding bouquet. It was the only thing that felt right. And no one knew but me. It brought such peace. She was with me. That was my moment.” — Elisabeth

“The moment I felt married was the first time my husband and I survived a crisis together… The way he treated me, talked to me, and loved me during and after it cemented our relationship. I knew I loved him before that, but I sure felt it during that time. We’ve been married 19 years, and I love him more every day.” — Carrie

“We made the mistake of planning our honeymoon flight the day after the wedding and I didn’t think through the lengthy car/travel situation. The morning after our beautiful nightlong wedding celebration with friends and family we were headed back to our house (driving back separately so we could drop off his car before heading to the airport). I stopped to fuel up on gas, still on the fairy-tale-high of getting married and rushing to our honeymoon without considering how I looked. After all, so many people had told me 8 hours ago how I’d never been more beautiful. But my hair was half pinned up, my make-up was hangover-smeared, and I had my champagne headache as I pumped gas in my bare feet. A guy at the next pump shouted over to me, ‘Must have been a rough night…I’m sorry.’ And I realized as he looked in my car windows that I had my wedding dress sprawled across the backseat, to keep it from wrinkling of course, but from his view I looked like a lone, shoe-less, run-away-bride on a walk-of-shame. It was that moment that I first felt married, and couldn’t have been happier to be part of a couple.” — Tessa

Blac Chyna Reveals If the Kardashian Sisters Will Be Bridesmaids in Her Wedding

Blac Chyna Reveals if Kardashians Will Be Bridesmaids

Photo: Getty Images

We’ve been busy keeping up with those other Kardashians and following the wedding plans of Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian ever since the groom-to-be slipped that engagement ring on Chyna’s finger. Granted, the engaged duo has been a little slow with getting those wedding day details in line, but not without good reason. It’s no easy task planning for a baby and the type of wedding that we’ve come to expect from this famous family, after all.

But at last, it looks like Chyna and Kardashian have finally have a wedding date to put on those invites! And the rest of those “I do” details seem to also be falling into place — including a big day decision we’ve been seriously wondering about… After the initially icy reception Chyna reportedly received from her soon-to-be sister-in-laws, will she invite the Kardashian clan to stand beside her as bridesmaids?

While we were super excited when we first heard Kardashian and Chyna’s engagement and baby news (this is obviously one of the greatest love stories of our time, after all…), apparently not everyone felt the same way. (Shocker.) Unfortunately, it seemed that Kardashian’s famous sisters Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney were amongst the least pleased to learn of their little brother’s to-be-wedded status. In fact, according to an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the reality show stars actually learned of their brother’s engagement on social media of all places. After that, it didn’t exactly seem like the Kardashian sisters were rushing to book their bridesmaid dress fittings anytime soon (although they do rock matching frocks like nobody’s business…). So what’s the final bridal party verdict?

kim kardashian kanye west wedding

On a recent a radio interview on On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Chyna and Kardashian chatted upcoming wedding details — and bridal party plans. “We have a date picked out,” said Chyna. “I obviously wanted to do it when I wasn’t pregnant so we could turn up!” Obviously. “First, have a healthy baby, then hopefully a beautiful wedding. But obviously the baby comes first,” Kardashian added.

See More: Memorable Vows from the Best TV and Movie Weddings

Apparently things have been going much smoother for Chyna and her soon-to-be sister-in-laws. Although Chyna didn’t say who among the Kardashian clan would tote bridesmaid status, she told Seacrest that she will “for sure” include Kardashian’s five sisters in the big day. And as it turns out, finding groomsmen for Kardashian is proving to be the more difficult task. “I got no friends and the guys in this family keep disappearing but Kanye!” he hilariously shared.

We have to say, we’re super relieved to see that the Kardashian girls and the bride-to-be are getting along. Unless of course Chyna is just planning to extract her revenge via some hideous bridesmaid dresses. Hmm…

8 Ways to Have a Sexy as Hell Relationship OUTSIDE of the Bedroom

Photo: Getty Images

Sex in a relationship is definitely important. And yes, you can just take 20 minutes out of a day for sex with your partner. But is that really enough to keep sexual attraction and intimate connection thriving in your relationship?

I say “No.” Love is way more fun (and sexier) when you connect with your significant other in these highly sexy yet non-sexual ways:

1. Send him non-sexual photos of you.
Not every photo you send to your partner requires flashing your naked body. Instead, text some great pics to your man right after a fresh haircut or color or while smiling at him during your day. No need to be overtly sexy, just charming. Pleasantly surprising him with a photo of the fine woman he loves puts a smile on his face.

My fiancé uploads my new hairstyle pics to his main screen, and I always get a “wow” back from him. Part of me finds it embarrassing, but I still love it.

2. Go on a vacation together.
It doesn’t matter if it’s only for a day or a full week, just go away with him and plan something you’d both love to do. The key is planning this activity together — don’t do it alone. Try activities that you both enjoy and increase your connection by adding some relaxation time together.

Make sure that you use this time for positive, loving, fun talks. It’s not the time to deal with kids’ issues, financial situations, or other draining topics. If you must, agree to set aside a time to discuss heavier matters, do so when your minds are clear and calm.

3. Sprinkle his day with compliments.
We all love compliments and yet we often don’t bother to give them out to our loved one. Are we too busy or just forgetful? Could we be harboring some resentment, pain, or anger within ourselves?

You may have some work to do in this area, but the effort is well worth it in creating a stronger relationship. Catch your man doing something right — and tell him about it.

4. Get physical but not sexual.
Touch creates more trust, intimacy, and offers several other benefits. It makes us feel good and soothes us into a greater connection. Most people enjoy being touched in certain ways that are unique to them. And not every act of physical affection has to turn into a make-out session. Just do what feels right and watch the advantages come to life.

5. Be playful and spontaneous.
Come on ladies — it’s time to jump it up a notch. It’s so easy (and boring) to do what you always do. So get moving and throw that big sloppy kiss on him when you’re cleaning the garage. Slap that butt when he’s washing the car. Be a bit silly. Think of ways to lighten up and make him laugh (it makes him adore you). More play equals more fun.

6. Really bond with his family.
It’s important to form realistic bonds with your significant other’s family, if that’s important to him. Although it’s tricky, you need to know when to zip it and when to say what comes to mind when you’re around his family.

Having new family members is fun and rewarding and shows him that you care about his world. Be as kind and understanding as you can, yet be supportive to him.

7. Open your heart to his little ones.
There could be nothing more important to a parent than their child. As a significant other, you need to know and accept this fact. If your partner has kids from a prior relationship, open your heart to those children without overstepping your boundaries. Take the child’s lead and move slowly as you talk with them and get to know them better.

Earning trust is valuable. Ask a few questions and know when it’s time to back off. Grow the relationship slowly. Don’t expect his kids to fall in love with you right away, if ever. Remember, he will love you more when you show care and consideration for his children.

8. Make showing affection a daily habit.
It’s so easy to just walk past each other when walking through the door. Don’t do that. Create healthy relationships habits that stick.

Kiss all day long, especially when you wake up, before bed, and upon seeing each other after time apart. Find affectionate gestures that he loves and do them for him. In return, let him know the simple gestures he can do to make your day.

Increasing sensuality in relationship outside of the bedroom is a two-way street.

Couples often forget that everyday experiences that make each other happy are just as important as (if not more important than) that 20-minute romp in the sack.
