Rustic, bohemian, beach, vineyard, vintage, preppy, formal — the bridal style options are endless, and so are the wedding dress options to go with them. Whether you find yourself dead set on a bohemian beach wedding, or are a glamorous bride-to-be looking to wow on the big day, your wedding style and venue can have a big impact on the wedding dress you choose. But don’t set out on the wedding dress shopping journey with your mind too made up — the same style of dress can work for multiple locales, and wedding vibes. We’ve partnered with our friends at Allure Bridal to help you navigate the waters of wedding dress shopping for your bridal style.

Rustic and Romantic
You’ve booked the perfect vineyard, or the ideal barn that turns into a perfect reception spot, now it’s time to find the right dress. Lucky for you romantic styles that suit this type of occasion are everywhere right now! Focus on romance with details like lace, exposed buttons, and touches of pink and embroidery that can really glam up.

Beach and Bohemian
Just because you’re saying “I do” with your toes in the sand doesn’t mean your wedding dress can’t be extra special. Elegant easy sheaths are the perfect choice for a beach affair, but that doesn’t mean you can’t accentuate your curves in a bodycon trumpet gown, or embrace your inner fashionista with plenty of glitz and glamour courtesy of embroidered beading and lace. Make sure to keep things light and comfortable by avoiding heavier fabrics — you don’t want to be sweating your way through your first dance, do you?

Formal and Glamorous
Have you always pictured yourself as a Princess Bride in a big ball gown? Embrace your inner Cinderella but do it in a modern way — with interesting details like an open back or illusion neckline and sleeves to keep things ultra glam and just a little sexy. If you know you want a formal affair but don’t see a Princess in site, it’s all about a mermaid gown in a really beautiful fabric and details that scream luxury. Look for figure hugging styles in embroidered lace that shows off amazing craftsmanship, and perhaps look to top things off with luxury accessories like statement earrings, an incredible beaded shoe, or a fur capelet (so fabulous for a winter wedding!).

Traditional and Preppy
Trends come and go but a classic wedding dress is forever. If you’re not into trends or glitz, and really want nothing more than a clean timeless look it’s a no brainer — a strapless A-line gown in ivory lace is your number one bet. Focus on fit and fabric over anything else. If your dress fits you the way it should, it doesn’t any other bells and whistles. Maybe just a beautiful lace veil to top things off, and don’t forget classic diamond studs to finish things off.
